We decided against buying units from xenu, being too far from each other in value assessment. We both wanted a good deal, basically. I offered him 40 gold for the (pair of) protective bowmen (one with 2XP, the other green) and he asked if that a piece. We didn't want to go over 50 as we need to grab Calendar fast, so we decided to withdraw the offer and lend him money instead as promised earlier.
slowcheetah, how about skipping scientists in HA? That way OHP will be able to overtake the capital for the second GP generated, giving us higher chances of an engineer. Either by getting one in the capital (with more engineer points) or in OHP (higher engineer concentration and able to surpass the capital). I think we should start spreading rumours that we'll be getting MoM with an engineer, that might help discourage Sian from going for it. Maybe even enlist the sneaky assistance of xenu, having him tell Sian that he's getting worried about our growing economy. That could later set us up for a backstab on Sian.
Also, I'd like to request that we put up a barracks in JH before we crank out more troops. We're getting an early unit that we need now, reinforcement for our western front can be put off a little bit as we crank out more troops for our eastern front with HA.

Skipping the scientists in the capital will dial back our tech rate a fair margin, but the capital does have tiles it can use without them. I assume we'd be running scientists in OHP as well in order to catch up to the capitals GP points?
We still dont need a barracks, it's highly unlikely we'll be upgrading any of these initial guys, or attacking anyone with them, and more feet on the ground is worth more than a promotion currently, so they don't need promotions at this stage. We should produce at least three more units before slotting in a barracks.
I'm undecided on rumour spreading, I think Sian is more likely to head for the GLIB and colossus anyway, dazed and xenu might be our main competition.

We'll run scientists in OHP as soon as the library is up, yes. And we might run some scientists in the capital, main priority is getting OHP to pop a GP before the capital pops another one.

OHP will pass the capital without sacking scientists, so use full specialists in both. Nothing much to report from the turn, I like our economy! And those graphs are starting to look very favourable.

Turn 66-
Our new city 'Toilet Seat Up' was founded two turns ago, it's going to grow and finish that workboat off with a whip. We'll probably put the overflow into a granary.
Demographics are looking much better as well, we're lowest in crop yield (but still within reach), which is good considering we are probably working more 0 food tiles then everyone else.
In other news from the turn, only one of Catwalk's signs was disobeyed. I think that's a new record (for either of us).

I like those demos. We'll zip past the rest pretty soon as we start expanding for real, we have cheap settlers and a strong economy to aid us in that task. With Currency arriving shortly we will look even better. We have 3 new cities going up in the next handful of turns, all in good sites. dazed has informed us that he's going to help boxing Sian in up in the jungle area.
I think our objective now is to preserve the anti-Sian sentiment for as long as possible. We're busy cosying up to dazed, and are helping xenu reach Currency faster to repay his favour in letting us settle the eastern silver spot.

Double LOL. Your names make me realize how great my wife is... but sometime soon there will be a city called Video Games, and I'll sober right up.

Turn played, after much bickering on google chat with slowcheetah. We're backfilling the cow spot east of DD and unloading our settler on the gold island next turn. Red dot settler also arriving shortly. Currency was finished at the end of the turn, we will now fund xenu's Currency research as a favour and he will repay us ASAP after he gets it. We expect that to take 4-5 turns. These 3 cities will all get +4 commerce from trade routes, practically paying for themselves right away. We're set to REX pretty good now, just need to stay friends with everyone until we've secured a nice lead.

Turn 68
Currency completed this turn, giving us an extra serving of profitable traderoutes. Feeling generous we gave our gold to Xenu, so he can enjoy the wonders of currency.
Those trade routes will definitely be needed because three cities are being founded in the next two turns turns. One on the gold island, crazy reddot city and our compensation city in the tundra courtesy of Sian.
Elsewhere in the empire:
Headache
Dirty Dishes
Other cities
Demographics- We are no longer last in power
Coming up: We desperately build more workers, we currently only eight and will soon have ten cities. No more settlers until we have at least 4 more labourers.
