An interesting subvariant of this would be to assign leaders attempting to match player/AI personalities...

I can only give limited PYFT assurances TBH, because my situation in real life means I could get my cable or internet cut off in the future (I am below poverty level) which would obv keep me from playing my turn well (my laptop doesn't play Civ). So the best I could do is a teammate. I'm also really rusty at Civ and would probably just be freelo. I would argue that high skill disparity is precisely what we want for this kind of game because this way lurkers will have more fun arranging handicaps. Also, we will get some interesting info about relative weighs of player skills and environment factors in deciding the outcome of the game.
Gavagai - I totally agree, although I suspect Dantski is trying to help his handicap here
![]() CH - you could ask the lurkers to take your multiple games into account with their assessment... Miguelito - I claim Gandhi!
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57
In progress: Rimworld
I'll be lurking. No experience with MP whatsoever, and I think recent stuff at university will rule out a turn-per-day Pitboss for me; otherwise I might even consider playing (if base BtS; wine wouldn't run custom-DLL mods for me last time I checked).
Unless someone is willing to take me as part of the handicap, that is. Did I say handicap? I meant "teammate".
That's a freaking huge map, just fyi.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
