Stone and marble. Nice. We should have good chances to convert our forests into a key Wonder. Pyramids and HG in capita to spawn an engineer for machinery maybe.

Farm the rice, then chop out a 2nd worker followed by a settler? Thoughts? Or do we finish this warrior, build a grass mine ( while swapping to worker after warrior ) Then chop out the remainder of the worker/work on the settler?

Looks like heading south with our first few cities will be profitable.

Good opportunity to do a sim here as we have many options atm. Here are my first reaction.

I would want to finish the warrior first for scouting as we have no given second city site as of yet.

I would aim at improving rice first and then mine two plains hills to build a 3 pop settler. That gives us 5 bonus hammers from IMP while we build our settler. The sheep hill and the wine hill are prime candidates for mining with the extra yield but they are too far apart to be ideal. Maybe the best move is to move 1) rice, 2) wine hill 3) forest plains riverside 2 west of cap. Then the worker is close to both the sheep and the river valley and we get a chop into the settler without wasting a move to get onto the forest tile.

Went for AH next instead of TW. Should be a decent choice.. i dont think we need anything else yet? And it will be nice to know where horses are b4 we settle.

Found our copper. 11t till our capital pops borders again and reveals most of the north for us. The warrior can scout west a bit then return to protect the settler. Scout is going to continue moving on hills/defensive terrain whenever possible while continuing roughly counter clockwise? Turns are going pretty fast.

Sounds good. We should still be able to get pottery in good time and AH helps towards writing as well.

Where are you planning to send the settler? To me there is one city site that should work with any dotmap and that is settling in the plains hill between wine and copper. It snags copper and has good food and hammers. it is perfect to help develop cottages for the capitol. However, since it has no food resource it is maybe not an ideal second city. If we farm a flood plain, mine the copper and steal the wine hill it can get 12 hammers at pop 3 which makes it a good candidate for building settlers to colonize further south.

Didnt make contact ( will be turning around and heading north )

So Mine the Wine hill next? Then head to the hill 2W of the capital and start mining there? Warrior-Settler, or Warrior-worker-settler? Due to amount of forests im heavily in favor of a delayed first settler, but a fast 2nd/3rd one from having more workers.

Yes. I think both ideas would work. With delayed settler are you planning to grow the capitol to 4 pop or is it still 3 pop but one more worker chopping forests?

With Pindi close by and to the south that moves up the copper city in priority in my mind. I think it should be the second city. Which of the plans gets us copper improved the fastest? That seems like a prudent move and a good indicator.

I think it is likely that we will be in conflict with Pindicator. Both of us are imperialist and the long river valley is the best land we have seen thus far. The only happy resource we have found is that elephant which is closer to Pind than to us. The amazing wheat/rice/stone/spice city is equidistant from our capitols. If he grabs that we might be cut off from the main continent and stuck on a mediocre peninsula. He is protective as well so it will hard to dislodge him from a hill city. Getting scouting warriors out to see if there are neighbors in other directions would be valuable.

The best tech plan to me after AH is the wheel followed by pottery unless we want to slot in fishing for a coastal city. After that maybe, mys, mas, poly, priest, writing and then monarchy for development or hunting, archery, HBR if we are in a war with Pindi.

Figured 3 pop, with extra worker chopping forests.
