[Mjmd #52 no players] Working on the Homestead

Cats are clearly the plan. There are 3 new ones this turn. Brings total up to 16 i know of. However, he has them split between the two fronts atm. I tentatively have tech on nationalism, which completes in 4 turns. Allure of a 4th golden age is strong. Haven't moved troops yet. Cav are too far away to wait (10 turns).

Edited out plan due to paranoia.

Question for lurkers. I would want 2nd half of turn, should I just PM him next turn to just not waste time dicking about? Peace expires in 2, so would be alerting him 1 turn early, but its not like its a surprise.

Ok El Grillo check Taj math please, requires 700 hammers, with organized, marble, and forge I get double production. Feel free to log in btw if you want.
Pancakes during golden age should have 32 base hammers. Meaning 11 turns to build Taj? I could workshop over the 2 very developed villages to increase by 2 turns if I think Pin is racing, but just with the cost of the thing I doubt it? Plus even if he has a golden age its only 8 turns of increased production. Mind he has an extra 4 turns to build it.
Sources Hammers
2 mines 10
City        3
2 Farms 4
workshops 7
copper 6
Engineer    2

Reason I'm wondering is I could try to pop out a great person in 2 turns, to decrease turns required for nationalism by 1. Speeding it all up very slightly.

Are you considering the threshold for when you'd be able to whip Taj to completion?

As for your PMed troop deployment plans, I'm afraid I am thoroughly out of my depth here in this era of warfighting, so I don't feel comfortable commenting.

Whip math for wonders is always meh to me. I already readjusted people to pop a GP in 2 turns. I don't think it will actually increase the tech time, but hopefully whip gets me the extra turns / shrug. Should be close enough.

As for army deployment I'll leave you all with a Commodore quote that has stuck with me from PB49.

Sorry bro, after this game you're not going to qualify as a newbie anymore. This is one hell of a sophomore performance.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Just saw this, and saw that you already sent the PM.

Yeah.... Gotta go with Waste time dicking around would have been the play. PM'ing and saying "yeah, im taking the "better" part of the turn" doesnt sit well.

Basically in order to get your desired slot in war.. You have to at least 1-2t out, be taking the first or second half of the turn. Special cases are rare, but would include: Hey, you work at 5am, i work at 5pm, so the only way for this game not to run twice as long is to have us be on x part of the turn split. But that is something that would be posted and have lurkers help with. ( usually with a no-combat turn being a double turn for 1 party )

Of course, i could be completely wrong about all of this in which case im sure someone in the vet community will chew my ass for spewing nonsense again.

Ya literally no one answered me. He very much has given the appearance of almost always (maybe 2 turns not) playing after me. Just didn't want us both sitting around waiting for the other to play. Seemed pretty pointless considering we both could figure the war was coming.

Out of curiosity, what would happen if both of us just didn't play the turn........ Again this is why I asked the question. I have no clue.

He sent me a PM saying he would look disfavourable upon anyone camping the turn and he wasn't. I'm not saying he would have, just had the appearance and I didn't want to mess around.

I mean was he planning on attacking the person with rifles? Seems unlikely he would have declared and he gets a warning its coming.

The turn would roll as neither played had given an excuse in the tech thread. And if someone is shown to actively be playing clock games ( some players are rather known for doing so.... ) then people's opinion of them go down.

Eventually SOMEONE caves, and plays.
