Looks like either the game is having issues or there's something wrong with my connection via my cellphone while at the office (which usually works). I'm thinking it's the game, since by civstats it almost looks like pindicator had the same problem. Can get to the login screen and type in password, but then can't load the map.
I've emailed sunrise.

Edit: Well, I guess it was just me. Since I see Meiz was able to get in and play. Maybe I'll try again. Otherwise I'll just wait til I get home.

HAK- what kind of error are you getting? Sometimes I get an out of sync red-flashy thing but disconnecting/reconnecting seems to solve that

It was just a "couldn't connect" type message after entering my password. But it could have been because of anything. I was using PDANet on my phone to give my laptop internet access. I have to do that when I'm at the office, since the firewall here prevents access to the game. So if I wanna access the game on my lunch hour I have to bypass that by using internet created by my phone. And since my lunch hour was over, and I had already shut down Civ & unplugged my external USB hard drive, and put the machine back into the docking station for my work network.....well, didn't have time to try again.

I'm sure I'll be able to connect when I get home from the office in a couple hours.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but with how often people log in and all that, it does seem to be adding quite a bit of time to the turn. The last turn ran to the end of the clock (because SleepingMoogle missed his turn) and took just about 25 hours for the turn. Not sure if we really need it going that long.
Anyway, just an observation.

If it's consistently running 25 hours we (aka "I" wink) should reduce it by one hour. The goal is 24 real-world hours.

Actually, last turn took 24 hours and 47 minutes... so shaving off an hour would leave it slightly under 24 hours. I'm all for keeping the game moving along at a good pace, but I think we should err on the side of 24<x<25 real hours per turn rather than x<24 per turn.

Without wanting to start a witch hunt, I think Parkin just made an illegal move. He was the last to end turn last turn and he had score decreases in civstats less than 30 minutes afterwards. Is it allowed to whip in the first 2 hours?

Can anyone else confirm this, I may be reading things wrong.
