RBP3: Joao of Inca [SPOILERS]

The plan sounds good in terms of what to build. Not really many other options for now I guess. I'll have a look in game tonight about which cities to found first. I'll also see if I can come up with a plan for all our workers. I think we can be more efficient with them. Do we have an ETA for when we will have math? Or do we? I can't remember...

We got Math. I'm looking forward to your plan, I'm struggling a bit with optimal efficiency...

Nakor,

I left a bunch of signs in game for next turn's worker actions. We've got a couple routes we can go but I think we're ok to throw down a couple more cities right? We're making 20 gold or so at 0% which isn't terrible so I think we can afford more?

I should be able to get some good thoughts put into this soon (even if not publicized, I can resume playing most of the time) and I'll leave notes in game in case you're playing the turn.

A few rules I've learnt in my MP time at RB.

1) Never let a worker do nothing (unless he's moving to a forest or hill that's not roaded). There is the rare exception (you're moving your workers across the map to a new city to land a wonder - a la apolyton demo game) but really try to never lose a turn.

2) Grow your new city asap. I've had food resources farmed or WB's ready to go the moment the new city is founded and chopped a granary before the food has reached half-way of Size 1 so that it grows with a granary right from the get go. If you can't have the food resource ready to go right away make sure you've got workers ready to farm it as soon as it's in your borders.

3) Never let a city work a "normal" tile. If it's not improved whip it away. I will do this in almost every circumstance. You could also hire specialists as well (I don't know that area too well) if available.

Just some thoughts by me learnt from the community. Hope that helps.

Nakor,

Perhaps it's time for us to stick our hand up in Cuddle and say hey we have some money which researcher wants it? Or does anybody have currency yet? I can never remember these things...

I'm thinking our stone site and site to ENE by Rome are the 2 we need to found sooner than later. There's also a spot E of Kalin's Burgers we should look into. I have an axe headed that way to scout it out.

Who is to our S? Somebody dark green that we don't have OB's with. I just can't figure out if it's Portugal or the Ottomans.

From Ilios of DIM (HRE):
Quote:Guys,

Just a heads up. I'll be giving you CoL next turn.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a settler in the near future, since our main settler pump is now on Great Merchant production.

I think that would be fair, since we have given you Horseback Riding, Code of Laws, and will be forking over Metal Casting in a couple of turns as well.

Don't get me wrong, this is not an ultimatum, just a request... smile

Anyway, let me know what you think about it.

Regards,

Ilios - DIM

This is fine by me...if we're getting CoL soon we need a few more settlers I think wink

We got CoL, gifted 100 gc to DIM HRE, they'll get MC in 4 and CS in 6.
Saw you started a settler in JANK, are you going to start a settler in Kiwi as welll after growth?

That was the plan yes. I rushed through that turn a bit so does everything look good? I think it's only 2 turns for JANK to grow should we wait on the settler?

Also I think we need to re-prioritize our settlers a little bit seeing how close we are to the Ottomans/HRE in the South...

I believe your signs are marked in game for 1 through 4. I think they basically need to go in reverse order now. I'll get logged in tonight or tomorrow but we should hash this out before we decide. We also need that settler for the HRE so hopefully they don't plan to use it for either of our sites. Maybe we should clarify with them?

Ok, I'll let you have a look at the priority of the city sites.
I do suggest we let JANK grow to 7 before build/whipping that settler. We should build a market afterwards if we're going to fund.

Kalin's Burgers need a market as well, but should also get a settler done at max size.

Kiwi to settler as discussed and Ben&Jerrey's can chop/whip a settler pretty fast with all the forests there. Texas burgers enough production as well.

That means five settlers are a priority. But we might need to build some military since Krill declared on Ruff. Let's hear what Ruff has to say. Did you take a look at the stiched map? Looks great!

Nakor,

I changed things a bit. Put the settler off in JANK for 1T. Spending that turn on a marketplace. Kiwi Town will now put 1T into a courthouse while working that 3F calendar resource instead of the gh/mine. That means JANK, Kiwi Town and Kalin's Burgers all grow in 1! All 3 should start a settler next turn. I'm not sure about whipping any of them yet. I'm leaning towards not. What do you think?

Texas Grill and Ben and Jerry's should both grow to size 4 asap and then 2-pop whip workers out. We're going to be very short on workers fast. I'd let the overflow go into their current buildings (libraries). At Ben and Jerry's we might consider chopping a settler out with the overflow though. We shall see when that happens.

Also do we have an NAP with Egypt? or Mali? Given the declaration on the Aztec by Egypt, if PAT is going to be sending units at the Aztecs, they might be sending some at us as well. We're sitting ducks right now.

Thoughts?

Instructions for T100 (and a little bit afterwards):

Onion should road the tile he's on right now rather than finish the chop. Ideally at Size 4 (T100) Texas grill switches to a worker and then 2-pop whips it on T101. Overflow goes into a settler while working the Sheep and Iron and then we chop that forest into the settler. We then continue on with the library. Onion could then road the FP 2W of Texas Grill and lay the foundation for the stone site. The Settler from Texas Grill will go there.

Lettuce should road the tile he just cottaged on T100 and T101. Shallot should road the grass tile 2E of Texas Grill on T100 and T101. Both should move into the forest 2SE of Texas Grill along with Entrecote (the axe) on T102. They should road this tile on T103.

On T100 Kalin's Burgers should be able to 2-pop whip the settler so it should do so. The Settler should move to 2N of JANK Food on T101 and then 1W1SW of JANK Food on T102. On T103 join Entrecote, Lettuce and Shallot on the forest tile 2SE of Texas Grill and on T104 move 1E of this tile and found our city. This should probably be a GP Farm I think.

T104 Lettuce and Shallot should move 1SE to the plains/forest while the new city works the grass/forest tile and starts on a terrace. We then chop the terrace and then farm a riverside grass tile if we go GP Farm route. Otherwise cottage something.

Crispy Crunch (on silver mine) needs to move towards Texas Grill to act as MP Guard.

Steak should take care of the barb warrior.

Asparagus should move to and road the tile 1NE of the stone on T100 and T101.

Leek and Green Pepper. 1 of these should complete the Farm at Ben and Jerry's on T100 and the other should move 1N into the plains/forest. On T101 and T102 both should road and on T103/T104 both should pasture the cows.

Ben and Jerry's should switch to a worker at Size 4 (probably T101) and 2-pop whip a worker out.

PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS ATLEAST:
I think JANK Food should slow build that settler and this one should probably be gifted to the HRE. We won't have the workers ready to get another city up and going yet. Upon completion maybe slowbuild a worker and then chop out another settler. By that time we should be ready to get another city down.

Hopefully the above is not too confusing! I should be able to play the turn but now anybody should be able to and I wanted to make sure we all know what's going on!

Oh and India has given us Aesthetics.

Nakor, if it's not too much to ask can you give a summary of any NAP's/deals we have with other civs?

Thanks!
