Cool, what time were you planning to play tomorrow? I'm on rboldharry at the usual and should be around in the morning or evening if you want a hand...

I have no idea what that means.
But more importantly this :

I'm tempted to retreat, but I'd really like your opinion. My guess is that he doesn't have anything else around.
I have to leave in like 45mn, you should have received my email by now. I hope we'll make a decision before I have to leave, else it will have to wait for tonight.

Hey, sorry I didn't see this earlier - when I get the chance for a lie in it overrides even CIV!

I think the options are:
- Dropping your units on the stone - it gives you a better notion of how his civ is laid out (although the tile SW of stone looks like a peak to me), they get 25% defence so unless he has more than two chariots around you'll be safe and it *might* stretch his army. From there you either get odds (have your axes got shock?) or you can offer white peace and teleport to safety.
- send your boats south around the coast to see if there is anything else to harass. If they built the colossus though I'd expect some triremes to greet your galleys frown.
- retreat

If you are to settle for Gems (can you road and settle this turn or were you planning to chop the forest away first?) and drop units off to guard the city then the harassing option isn't bad - he'll assume your galleys are full and have to scramble to deal with them. Either way Triremes mean you'll be on the back foot until you get Metal Casting, so offering peace instead of a cease fire might be useful for ten turns of safety.

But you've gone so far as to build two galleys and load them so I'd push your AGG luck and land on the stone. Is there anything that I haven't considered there? What are your MOM city defences like right now? Two spears and whippable axes would be useful.

I'll probably be available at 7pm (7 hours from the time of this email) if you want to chat.

Fake edit: the trade offer from Agent might be that he's trying to lock you into ten turns of peace but doesn't realise the mechanic doesn't work in MP? Or a fish-clam trade and his fish got cut? Dunno...

You're right that 2 chariots are unlikely, and 2 out of my 3 axes have shock. I have 2 spears and an axe in MoM, and another axe is coming next turn. The city is regrowing currently after a granary whip, it will be able to whip an axe in 2 turns. Here's the situation.

My first reaction was "10 turn peace offer ?", but they didn't whip last turn so the third axe has to come from the north. Which means the north is really bare. So I'm leaning on sending a peace offer but tempted to attack.

I'm leaving in a hurry, do you mind playing the turn ? Unless you see a good reason to do something else chop the forest move the settler east and retreat the troops. Also propose peace to Dreylin. As I said if you think it's worth it to keep pressing him south an attacking north I'm fine with it.

I proposed peace, but left the units on the hill so they can do some pillaging if he rejects the offer. Loading them on the boat without settling the city would mean that he's got a 33% shot at sinking a full galley...

- I put research on 60% - I think you can complete it in three turns (perhaps with some scientists) although adding the gems city might stymie that.
- I changed the scientist in the cap to work the lake - the happy cap is going to grow again and once you hit the max then working two scientists will be better than working one and slowing growth.
- I also think you're building too many Libraries, so I changed Ingv to be a galley (the city will only ever have four cottages, so I think you'd be better off chaining irrigation up there or building workshops) since the barbarian island to the NW is a great place to expand to... Sorry if that's a bit controversial, but I think a galley on this body of water will be valuable anyway.
- There were a couple of workers without orders in the north so I moved one to chop a forest for Tung and the other to make a mine for the Cap and Lobambus to share.

I also scattered signs around with suggestions for next turn.

Ok thanks. The galley could have escaped east but that's alright. Ok about the rest

The attack is impi/chariot/axe against two axes. One of them is shock the other I put on C2. Maybe this is a blessing after all, the two galleys are heading east with a chance to either hit them by surprise (3 axes 1 spear are probably enough to burn a city) or land near the battlefield and make us win the day. The greatness of it is that if they burn the city down it can be rebuilt 1W to make you happy wink
Luckily Kwash was building a spear so I was able to whip it, plus there's a spear due this turn in Maserus. Their chariot is dead if it ventures past the lines to harass the interior.

Good work on having a spear to whip! Shame it'll complete after his Chariot kills an axe. Did Dreylin take peace?

You should kill CH's warrior so you're at war with all your neighbours! lol
