I'm pretty sure their reaction will be one of two extremes: 1) feel confident that we have agreed to a 50-50 split or 2) be pissed that we are saying we won't agree to it no matter what. From their perspective, if they lose a lot of units (even without taking a city), they will feel that they have "done their fair share" because of the cost to them. I really don't see any way we take more than 50% and stay on good terms with them.

The thing is that we can turn it around on them if they can't keep up. Give them a little pressure to keep up with our rate of progress and put them on the spot as to whether we should keep advancing. If they end up asking us to compensate for their slowness, we'll be in a decent negotiating position as far as moving the split in our favor.

I think the message was good! I agree with the previous comments that WPC is likely to be pissed off by the end of the war. However, the most important thing is that they actually attack and kill/tie german units. (IF WPC reacts negatively to this message, I think we have to consider giving them plain false promises) Remaining in good terms with them would be a great success, which is what we are trying the whole time, but in the end that's still secondary.
So with that pressing matter of counting chickens attended to, can I remind everyone that CFC has stalled for a week now, right after we asked them about a NAP extension?

I think its 2) with the twist that they'll complain the Germans are guarding the WPC border and not our border, so we'll get to waltz in while WPC deals with that scary stack of unsupported Axes. By the way, I'm not saying that it was a bad message. I think it was good. I just think their reaction will be bad and would be no matter what we said if we take more than 50%. It is just a question of when they realize it and get upset.

It was probably the hardest message we've had to send yet, and however well Scooter phrased it there is no accounting for how WPC react if they don't read it how we intended it.

Now that message is sent, I think it's time to send CFC a friendly reminder that we've been waiting for a week for them to reply.
