This is gonna be good: von Adlercreutz and Taotao

@Mack:
I logged in to settle the new city and take some screenshots, but otherwise didn't do anything (not even re-assigning of new tiles) to be sure not to mess anything up.
Some suggested things:
Eddy finish cottage and Revolahti should work that instead of lake. Afterwards he could chop into Sveaborgs granary.
Izzie finished cottage and has nothing to do for 1t while waiting for calendar to come in and (s?)he can start the plantation. Perhaps just put 1t in a road that probably will never be finished.
Les, if not needed for wonder could mine the riverside grass hill for Lapua.
Nat, could start the last shared cottage between cap and Pyhäjoki. Or the grass mine if you want to increase the Caps production capacity quicker.
Pulkkila will grow next turn. Should perhaps whip the lighthouse then and overflow into sword? Might get happiness problems eventually, but at least can stay on a work boat for a few turns after the military unit.

Serdoa has withdrawn an axe from Mogor the Ogre (that just popped borders), hopefully that means that he's ceded us the lands west of his city.
I don't think Serdoa is going for MoM yet. He's still been in a money saving phase and it's not certain that he has Sailing. It just hit me that Donovan actually has had whales for trade for a few turns at least and whaling boats require Sailing... And while we're on that point, come on Donovan, build that GLH! wink
Donovan planted his 6th city 2t ago (must've missed it earlier). If he wants to plant a city next to clams he's only got 6t until Jutas pops borders though.

City counts of our known contacts t85:
Red dog McTao: 11 cities
REM: 10 cities (weak economy, but strong power)
Commodore: 9 cities (guessed he would have 10 cities by t85 when he landed mids, but he still hasn't played this turn...)
Cheater Hater: 8 cities (has a strong production base and HG has probably helped him in getting up those terraces)
Serdoa + Noble: 8 cities (only. I believe Mack overvalues this team, but Pro and cities on hills make them an unattractive target nonetheless).
Borsche: 7 cities (don't think he cares much about this game)
Donovan: 6 cities (aggressive impis will only fend off that target from your back so far you know...)
Elkad: 5 cities (will R.E.M. or Commodore get to him first?)

On the other side of the world a scary Gavagai is eating Grimace. I'm hoping that he doesn't get all land for himself, but that other neighbours take pieces as well (sadly I doubt that Grimace would manage to fend him off).

I also tried calculating all land tiles within our borders. 138 tiles if I counted correctly. We'll get about 25 more when we settle the last spots that we've "claimed". That's with us claiming slightly more than our "fair share" in basically all directions. I'm guessing people are intended to get just over 150 tiles on their original areas. However, there are 4244 land tiles on the map or about 185/player. Conclusion: I bet there'll be islands...

11 cities, wow! How much population do you have?

So, this was the turn we settled our 11th city Sveaborg.

In real life Sveaborg was built as a fortress protecting the Helsinki region from Russian naval attacks in the late 18th century. However, when the Russians besieged it in 1808, the large garrison inside fell for Russian propaganda and surrendered after a short while without really doing any proper fighting.
In the game, Sveaborg will most likely become our Moai-city. It's not amazing as such with only 10 water tiles, but then again, if we eventually find better islands we can just build dikes for "Moai-in-GA" sweetness shades
Shared horses and pigs also should help with setting up this city quickly and actually seafood resources seem pretty sparse on this part of the map, so having one fish is still decent.

This picture was taken at the start of turn before any pop was whipped away and if I count correctly it's 44 pop in total. Really seems like we cherish size 5 cities doesn't it wink

For demos that means that we're number 1 in food (and have been for a while now) and very decent in production and gnp:

We're not slacking that far in soldiers either (being at number 4), but REM always seems to be one step ahead.

Looking at the gnp graph you might see how he (REM) probably is struggling a bit more with his economy though. To be fair he's been saving gold for most turns lately and he has hardly any culture inflating the curve, but still...

I had thought that I had taken a picture of the food graph as well, but sadly it doesn't seem to have been stored. A real shame since it's quite interesting to see when Commodore started focusing on building the mids instead of expansion, but it'll have to wait now.

A quick note on world news:
Looking at civstats it seems that Grimace lost ~20 points last turn while Gav gained 8. Was that Grimaces Cap that fell? Seems pretty likely to me, but then I'm not used to deciphering these things.
It also looks like Elkad founded cities last turn. 3 of them! yikes
To me that doesn't really seem optimal considering workers and such, but perhaps it was part of a failed attempt on Hanging Gardens? If only he manages to defend his cities it's good if Elkad grabs more land from Commodore and REM though.

And finally, I'll leave you with this screenshot taken last night. For the first time we've now taken the lead in the post-count-war.
- Krill, what's happening man?

(I also want to thank all lurkers who have loaded this thread more than Gavs even though he's the Jewish founder and is part of a very active war)

yeah we took the lead on the post count but lurkers dont seem to like us that much like serdoa or krill.I think is mainly your fault you dont write controversial stuff(kidding here your posts are great) so I decided to take this on my hands, i will post with my real account perhaps this will atract more lurkers as well will start a tier list( i know people love those and we have alot of new members since i made last one), maybe even a war but not with noble as they will get views becasue of that.

I want to apologise RB for trying to force reddog like user but i was realy mad because people were acting like 'jerk' but they acted in theyr best interes so who I am to judge them.

I have agreat time playing with tao as i had playing with seven and lurkers if you want tear i want to see 20 post here and loads of views.I promise i will write a short thing about everyone from the tier and from my experience with them.

Ocean of tears list!

So considering our land has near 150 and we got more than fair share i think there is more like 140 tiles for player, so if do the math there is loads of land avaible, something like continent or maybe 2 smaller continents or many big islands from my math there are more then 1000 tiles, (bo hoo, I can be very wrong and other people perhaps got islands near by, happened before, or other people got more land) so we can adjust after this info .We are dutch after all making a bigger emipere on some islands might be the way to go.If we decide that we need to push groiwing go metal casting for forges , maybe machinery and optics before anithing else to get some caravels out.But if islands are all ice?happened before.

First we need a list of player which are active, or do we include the others too?

Which option results in more tears?
