So, it seems that we have somehow become the deciding factor here.
Do we ally team vet/vet and go after the weakest link, hoping we come out of top.
Or do we stay allied with Woden/Chev and go after the yield leader.
From an emotional standpoint we have no quarrel with team vet/vet, they respected our borders, quite in contrast to the aggressive settling that happened by Nubia and is still happening right now.
W/C (I abbreviate from now on) did a DoF and enabled the China/Rome train towards us in the first place. S/S were happy to murder us when it looked like we were out of money and out of troops.
How is our situation? Basically crap.
Supporting on or the other side is a loosing proposition, they both benefit from the conquests off J/C (Japper Cornflakes) and have more land at their disposal.
But.
Our eastern border sports a strong and dangerous enemy and we are ill equipped to deal with him now.
Our western border has more cities in range for taking, the VA and better spoils.
And we could go on the offensive in 10 turns, not way enough to get a decent navy in the north sea.
Russia is not conquerable by Sea. Nubia is.
So, we will roll the dice and try our best to win, as much as our chance is 10-20%. Our chance being the punching bag for S/S is a 0%, W/C will win that way.
And I am miffed that they used the past 15 turns to settle cities towards us and did not build any serious military.
So, we will ally Rome like you suggested as well.
Priorities.
- The Army is needed in the west.
- My navy will split north and south and go through a founded isthmus city.
- I will conquer Bandar Brunei
I am sorry to disappoint the lurkers but even it is a snowball chance in hell we need to take the route to victory, not slugfest heaven.
