Getting out of these wars is definitely a priority, really don't want to still be spread out when Jowy and Cairo have regrouped and healed. Along those lines, I'd probably fall back from Foam. If the game does go on, I think your hope is some kind of political realignment against OH, but I don't think that's really within your control any more

It is possible I can get peace after he takes foam as well. I can then enact my plans against Jowy which would be well worth it. OH's score is scary, so I don't think Cairo is coming calling. He did whip a crap ton this turn. I'm not positive why or what.

I left 3 rifles to put up a token defense.
Question. While a diplo screen is up at beginning of turn, is there any way to see the event log?

Fwiw tile culture doesn't go away, (while he's alive anyway) you just have to put more into the tile than he had.

100% aware and I plan on using my own culture around GoldenSkags for the same purpose. I'm just saying it makes no logical sense.

Ya he picked off the units I had originally sent to reinforce, lost 2 cav and 2 knights I didn't need to. 2 turning steel. I'm desperate enough I'm going to try ironclads even though I know they are noob bait. I just need to push him back defensively. I have 6 turns of peace with Jowy left. And I would love to have my army over there and not garrisoning coastal cities when that happens. I'm itching to go on the offensive.
All those Cairo whips were cannon I believe. Where is he going?

I reached out to Jowy as he didn't play this turn yet to see if we were back in turn split. He is usually pretty prompt with playing his turn.
The reason I did this, was I suspect a double move (on me) to settle a city after he takes Charriu's capital. I also have a settler ready to go. I'll post a picture next turn (playing morning turn now with kids awake), but I'm still playing to win I promise and have settled 2 cities producing culture. The 3rd on the ruined horse city would doom Jowy's influence in the area IF I wasn't in the bloody middle!!!!
Not that I'll be able to take advantage of it if my armies stay tied down...... OH is moving his main fleet back, will see where it goes.
Big wild card vs last time I was at war with Jowy is of course now Cairo. Who despite being amazing slow is being relevant and isn't out of this yet. I don't blame him for not closing borders with OH, he can't afford to get boated. But he might push his position and declare vs Jowy at least for his recently conquered AT cities.

Here is my cultural aggression front / cultural hold out until destroyers temporarily force OH back front.
If we were in a 1v1 fight, Jowy would be very dead. I haven't tested it in worldbuilder, but I think I could force half his stack into AquaticGhouls, but I don't have hardly anything over there, so Very Tasty is basically just a couple of turns of Jowy moving 1 tile at a time / turns Cairo might intervene. Cairo's stack isn't on my border, his cities near OH have ancient era trash, so here is hoping.

Someone ask Cairo in his thread where it belongs if he is willing to concede. For purely Wall Street reasons I would like to wait until turn 242. I'm pretty confident I could take any 1 player even OH in a 1v1, but being in the middle sucks. I also very clearly am missing things. Just realized now at 4am that now that I have airships I can finally cut off the Cairo cannel without blowing a million cav. Of course I've never roaded that 1 final tile and have no workers in position, so it will be 2 more turns. Clearly not that hard of a thought since I'm thinking of it at 4am, but didn't think about it for the last lets say 3 turns. Pretty sure MixedDrinks gets razed this turn. I needed to get some cav in there. Another obvious distribution issue.
Cairo is also very clearly not going to invade Jowy so any chance I have is gone. His stack has moved all the way near his capital. So either he is invading me, hanging out, or invading OH (like .01% chance). I'm pretty sure this means Cairo has given up. He very clearly needed to keep pressing forward while Jowy doesn't have a ton of culture and his army is injured. Also, while I'm keeping OH busy. Since he isn't, he basically has conceded already.
Not that it matters, but I'm being affected by the bug where I can't pillage a village. I was going to try to at least make Jowy have workers in position to re-road from BerserkerHalfling to Very Tasty, but I could only pillage the town on top.
Speaking of large infrastructure projects. I realized I haven't shown Sap with Oxford done. BTW I think i could get destroyers in 7 turns. OH is also going to look a lot less dominant outside of their last golden age. Still willing to concede T242, because again middle. Anyways, picture at 100%, but actually running 80% losing 269g, which ain't bad. Time was growing a plains cottage for Sap, but obviously it went boom.

You should not read too much about army movements of another player in trying to decide if they are willing to concede or not. If you can get destroyers out in 7 turns I would encourage you to play on and even if you lose you will have learned much in the process (that is if you are still having fun).
