[SPOILERS] Parkin brings the rain down in Africa: Churchill of Zulu

Yeah, makes a lot of sense. Oh well, Bio seemed like the better choice at the time because I had a lot of issues with CY. Physics was next, which was why I burned 2 GS's on it.

Nicely done! Mackoti has the worst luck with the RNG yikes, although it doesn't seem to change the outcome of many of his games lol.

Oh and in future you can find out what was in a transport by checking rival best or rival average soldiers before and after you sink it. More traps please!

Well, he had plenty of good luck in his attacks. Although most of the time he had good odds, when I first counter-attacked with my cannons & cav, I lost a number of high-probability battles, including one where my odds were 97.3%.

Turn 239

Well, unfortunately it seems like mackoti did have a number of battleships within range, because when I logged in I saw that he had destroyed all of my remaining destroyers, mostly with battleships (he used some of his galleons to kill the most heavily damaged).

However, Seven declared war on him this round and has both a ground and sea-based invasion force aiming for my former territory. This ought to be an interesting war to watch. Hopefully mack will ignore me for the moment and focus on Seven, as I realistically pose no threat to him. Seven has been helping me out, as well, offering me some hit musicals. I asked him for some health resources this turn as health is a much bigger issue for me than happiness (I'm in HR). He has at least 5 of each resource I asked for, so I can't imagine him saying no.

Haram also asked for a cease fire, but I denied it...suck on your war weariness! neenerneener

So now I have an obsolete navy, except for a pair of transports, three cities full of last generation military units and older, and a crap tech rate. How long will I last? popcorn

I think it's a stunner that haram will outlast both of us given that he seemed to be in a more precarious position.

Yeah, I fully expected either mack or Seven to pound him given he was the low-hanging fruit. There's still a chance I'll outlast him, though. I haven't given up yet! smoke

lol Now this I want to see.. Lurkers - is it worth my while de-dedlurking to read up on this war? Sorry Grimace, but I think my usefulness expired some time ago anyway...

It isn't worth it until someone reports the gory details.

Edit: And your best bet for details may or may not come from this thread. lol Grimace wins reporting in this game in a runaway.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Ha! Well in that case you're stuck with me for a bit longer Grimace tongue.

What can you do to help Seven?

Well, really the only thing I can do is hope mackoti leaves a city weak within my reach that I can hit with transports. I'm working on building some more destroyers in one of my cities (the other is building ground units, a mixture of machine guns and cav), and I'm working as many merchants as I can to generate money to upgrade my frigates, but realistically there's little I can do except annoy mack. smile
