Pretty sure I'd rather wage a PYFT holy war and lose than keep playing to win from this shitty jungle spot. He better choose wisely.
lol The old PYFT holy war...do it...kill him now (using Chancellor Palpatine's voice).

2:40 on the clock, if Kuro doesn't log in within the next hour or so I'm going to log in and pause the game.

I missed capturing the first fight, CR axe vs. Kuro's axe. I won at ~70%. Cleaned up here and razed.

Scouting out our southern neighbor. He's finally stacked all of his units up, but he's leaving plenty of easy pickings for Suttree, notably his Colossus city that will fall immediately this turn. rolleye Sisub's shoddy defending has me in a poaching frame of mind, so here's what he has on his diplo sheet before I declare.

Not much. Fuck it, let's fight him too.

Borders closed via war. hammer The downside of course is now we have to wait for both Kuro AND Sisub to finish playing, which is chancy at best. Anyway, we sniped a worker, pushed in with 3 axes and a spear on a city that only had a spear. When the turn rolled he added...a galley...

lulwut? I just don't know what to say here. smoke

Let the world burn. Some domestics while I waited for wetbandit to log in:

We finished the settler last turn, 1t worker now, then we'll regrow and try to lay off the whip here. I see us needing lots of wealth builds in the very near future.

We've stacked up the unhappiness here pretty badly, but we're almost home on the Moai build. Maybe a worker double whip to finish the Moai while we scale back on the whipping frenzy.

New city next turn. The third of its kind, hopefully the first survivor. At least it won't do worse than either predecessor. smile

After settling the fish/iron/sugar city north of the sisub jungle border, we're making ~10g at 0%. Up to 40g after the turn rolled and a couple cities cycled to wealth builds. It's going to be a long, tough road to CoL.

G'night everyone!

Don't forget we're in representation so our research will continue well enough on science specialists even while we're enduring 2008 type economic...growth. Our demographics are all around terrible and there isn't anything to be done about it. It feels like we're sprawling but we get surprisingly little output from it all, aside from high operating costs. I'm not used to running a SE so this all feels horridly slow. But maybe we can recover from it. Taking some decent land and growing on it, maybe that will keep us apace of our rivals....

Nah. Suttree getting an easy Colossus is a terrible break for us. I've already spilled ink enough about the red defense, I'll leave it at saying Suttree shows he knows what he is doing and Sisub does not. Picking up the wonder easily will be a happy boost to his finances -- surely he's having economic trouble with all his fighting, right? I hope so... Otherwise he's going to zoom away from us while our economy spins wheels here for a while.

I'm not sure how many coastal tiles suttree is working, his cities seem to be inland though we haven't scouted him out and don't know for sure. As for representation research, we actually have to hire specialists for that to work, and we've done very poorly at that, choosing the whip instead for production. Basically we've just used the 'Mids for a boosted happy cap so far.
