As I am a man of my word I have now agreed all city locations between me and seifer (inline with our agreement to discuss all city locations that fall between our capitals made when we first met).
He draw up a dot map showing where each of us would found cities (we can squeese 2 each between our capitals with them pressed closely together).
The dot map he proposed is in my opinion slightly in his favor but in all honesty we have little control of this, I had already agreed to concede the gold site to him and the only way we could let him have this and still fit 4 cities between us and each to have a buffer city between our own capitals (which seifer prefers) meant that one of my proposed cities has 0 resources but it does have some grassland, and a floodplain etc.
One of the cities between us for me has FOUR food resources so that should be a bit of a beast. Making my way towards this as we speak
Now I know that this post will make people want a picture, but I do not feel right posting it, as its a picture drawn up by seifer of land I have not even uncovered with my own troops yet.
I am currently scouting in two directions in an attempt to both uncover land and hopefully meet more players. With Jowy having a unit somewhere near seifers land from what I have been advised it would be nice to meet him and I am also trying to send a unit past culls land to Kyan.
Met a slight snag here, my unit had already moved about 4 tiles west since the temporary war between me and cull, and all of a sudden a city appeared in his war, he was literally at the cultural borders edge when the city was founded.
I am in the process of getting open borders agreements with both sides so fingers crossed I can still head through culls land and find kyan, maybe one of my troops can even find Strike...but that is a LONG way away, not sure which side will be best yet though.

I have finally Jowy, he found my cultural border at the end of last time, as I had not yet heard from him i sent him a brief diplomatic message welcoming him to my lands and offering peaceful relations between us.
I have also asked him about the war between him and strike that seifer told me about and in exchange have told him what transpired between me and cull.
I do not think i have anything to worry about jowy's warrior, its far to far form his own lands (as he is south of seifer and would have to cross seifers lands if he did decide to send anything else my way) besides he probably has a lot on his hands with whatever it is going on between him and strike.
This only leaves Kyan and Strike for me to meet, I have a unit moving through culls lands currently, so I will head south and hope to meet Kyan soon, as for meeting Strike...he is the furthest away from me and currently at war, so i doubt he has any troops heading my way and it would take me an age to reach him, so i doubt i will meet with strike for a LONG time.
If my unit heading towards kyan makes it to him ok i will get him to scout around that part of the map and towards strike, I am trying to get a feel for the size of the map at the moment.

PS whipped library in my second city now and i think the terrace in my third city is due to complete either this turn or next turn, so that will be three out of four cities with a terrace and two out of four with a library.
Building a terrace in my fourth city of course, as always my first building, i would be crazy not to, culture and a granary in one yes please!
I am hoping i can get some workers there soon so i can start chopping to increase the speed the terrace is built, its so important that I start generating culture asap to get that fourth city resource.
Seifer had said he is happy for me to win the culture war, but its best not to take chances, and the sooner its hooked up the sooner that city becomes a beast of a city. Popping culture there cannot be taken as an act of aggression as it was already discussed that the middle resources is in the second ring of both cities and whoever gets it first can keep it.

This turn I have continued to move my scout towards the NW corner of the map through culls land in an effort to determine the maps dimensions, this unit has moved onto culls capital, which is a hill and therefore gives me quite a good view.
My other scout is now south of culls cultural border, and interestingly enough, this turn started off NEXT to one of culls workers giving me ample opportunity to claim it as my own should i have wished to. However in the interests of diplomacy I did not take the worker, I am sure cull will notice this act of goodwill which should further relations.
This unit is currently heading south along the coast, have given details of its current position to siefer, and asked him to forward those to kyan who is somewhere to culls south, hopefully kyan will be willing to send a unit my way as a formal greeting if seifer is in his diplomacy with kyan.
This will only leave Strike to meet....not sure what I am doing about that yet.
In other news, I have 2 workers ready to start chopping at my 4th city, 1 worker ready to hook up the food resources. 2 hooking up the gold at my third and the other 1 building roads...2 more workers being built this turn, they will road to my 5th and 6th city locations when i decide where they will be.
I am whipping my 2nd city even though the worker completes this turn, the overflow will go nicely onto a settler next turn me thinks, with my leader traits this should pretty much finish the settler in one go, I hope (I do not know about the maths there?)
So with any luck I will be founding a 5th in the next few turns.
I am not sure how i am doing compared to the others, however with Jowy and Strike still at war, it is likely this will hold back their expansion in some way or another...with any luck they do not even have their 4th cities yet.
Agreed to hook my roads to seifers via our new cities, I will road to the corn (after all when my forests are chopped I will be getting lots of culture there)
Any more info you lurkers would be interested in just ask and I will 'consider' supplying this for you :P

The info is nice, thanks for updating!
Some screenshots would serve as nice illustrations, though.
I have to run.

Will see what i can do with regards to the screen shots.
As you can all tell I am a bit of a noob lol
Hmm wonder what will happen to all the PBEM Games and such with all these new games coming out at the moment. I just ordered a copy of Startcraft 2 (limited edition) and am eagerly awaiting Civ 5 whenever that is due out.
BTW i cannot seem to find anyone who wants to be a dedicated lurker or back up turn player so i guess you guys are stuck with just having me lol, mind you i have access to other computers in the house so i doubt there will be any major issues.

Borders popped in my 4th city this turn, so I can start getting that corn soon, will leave that a few turns as i am chopping a little more to try and get my library finished in that town as well to secure even more culture.
Also founded my 5th city this turn, this pushed my score to 2nd place, not that score means much really. Kyan still has a 90 odd point lead on me
Me and seifer have been plot...erm talking about some tactics lol, we have decided that the only way to win would be to stick together to take out kyan, but we have not decided the best way to do that, seems unlikely we will get any allies in this at the moment with the war going on between jowy and strike and the fact that cull and kyan are obviously friends as Kyan has a perfect opportunity to take culls 4th city a couple turns away and didn't bother doing so. Plus they have open borders (although that does not mean much i have open borders with every player i have met)

Ok with currency finished and all my 5 cities all roaded together and a road going right to seifers border hopefully the money should start coming in a lot faster now, just need him to finish his end of the road.
I know he has currency as well so this should really help both of us continue to grow.
I am currently tech'ing towards OR and HR which should only take about 3 more turns at current tech rate. This is so I can grow my cities, unfortunately I have not got a religion but seifer says he thinks he will be landing one soon (he didn't say which one although there is not many it could be?).
I have all of my workers finishing off various roads and chopping down forests to produce as many hammers as possible in my cities.
I have libraries completed in 3 of my cities, and the library in my 4th finishes this turn (whipped it just to make sure lol).
I noticed that seifers borders in "the hub" have popped, lucky mine popped first so with my head start on culture the corn I have hooked up is still mine, but I will have to watch the culture figures in the contested tiles, really don't want to lose that corn. Currently about 84% in my favor, not sure if his borders popped last turn or the turn before, hmm.
Building a market in my capital and my commerce city (2nd city) so hopefully that will also help with tech rate (I am down to about 50 - 60% at the moment, although that being said I am founding my 6th city soon and then doubt i will found any more for a good few turns).
I now have ALL of culls land mapped out, and I have seen Kyans borders, am following the coast in hopes of seeing sight of strike at some point.
I have another scout moving through seifers land now (a chariot so it should not take too long to map out the lands to my east).
Me and seifer have briefly discussed trading maps but neither of us has the tech yet and no formal agreement regarding this has been made as of yet.
But I consider it to be in both our interests with the information i am gaining about Cull and Kyan and the info he is undoubtedly gaining about Jowy and possibly Strike.
The later of which I will be keeping a close eye on, I am unsure if this is only a temporary respite to their war or a long term peace treaty.
Either way Jowy's demographics makes me think both of them suffered heavily as a result of this, he is below me seifer and cull on many things (basically anything to do with economy).
Seifer mentioned to me about the possibility of me "loaning" him some workers as he says he has far too few, although I have plenty of them (about 10 i think) it still does not feel like enough to me, I can always use more workers.
I am sure he can see I have about that many as well as up to 7 of them are within line of sight of his units I think.
Previously he had ample opportunity to steal one or two of my workers, but now my borders are popping in all my cities and none of them are working too close to any exposed borders so any such risks are pretty much gone (if he did decide to turn against me i would have enough time to withdraw any workers).
My only worker near a unit of his and close to my border is my eastern most worker 1 tile from 1 of his own workers neaer the hub.

Yeah sorry about that mate, no matter what we do I NEVER seem to get the save during my scheduled play slot (my evening), my slot always gets missed and i end up waiting for days for the turn and then it is mysteriously waiting for me when i get up and am trying to get ready for work and hense don't have the time to do screen shots and updates .
I never seem to get it when i have the time to spend time taking screen shots, and I don't like leaving the turn unplayed if i am at the pc to move it onwards, so i normally just get the turn played, then i update when i have more time, but i never have the screen shots to use that way.
Hopefull i will get the save this evening and if i do then i will do screenies lol.
