Eh I have 1 library. Though another is building I suppose. I'll try to get a couple more.
Sistine is done though and Hagia finishes next turn. then its 7 turns till Notre dame. Unless i start Paya which would be 5 turns. Should I go ND or Paya?

ND for the global +2 happy I guess . Paya is probably less required. I need by marble back for NE as well.
You should hold off on the NE due to your 1 engineer.

Still, 1 library is 1 more than I have (and I think it'll be a while still before I have any, since I'd rather just build more settlers and mp archers).
Definitely go ND, because I need the happiness. If you guys have any extra happy resources I could use those, too.
@ASM he rushed the sistine chapel with the great engineer. We wanted to make absolutely sure we got it.

No, I meant he shouldn't get an National Epic due to the Engineer he hired.

arg, this is annoying. I saw WoundedKnight's worker alone in the jungle, so I moved up my warrior to threaten it. Unfortunately, it was a fast worker, so it chopped the jungle quicker than i realized, and allowed his horse archer to kill my worker.
In happier news, I'm now first in food yield! (after ending turn)
Here's the core of my empire right now.

So, this is annoying. My favorite city down south, I just realized, can't build boats. I don't understand why it can't? It's on the coast, technically. I'm worried that ShoottheMoon will be able to blockade it.
Anyway, I'm currently expanding up north, trying to hook up deer, since resources are so scarce on this map.
and now that I'm finally letting my cities grow a bit, I'm way in the front for food. Sullla's way in front for GNP, I'm just running 100% gold.
thanks to hagia sophia, colossus lake, and fast workers, i'm now managing 11 cities with only 6 workers . Oh, and I still haven't finished a single building.

I haven't selected a new tech yet. Not quite sure where to go from here.
Education is necessary for liberalism and gunpowder. However, we probably won't be first to liberalism, and education is a very expensive tech. Universities probably won't do too much for us either. It would at least pressure Spulla, so they can't get anything too expensive from liberalism.
Printing Press gives us an immediate benefit. However we don't really have all that many villages/towns, and it's not strictly necessary for our plan of culture victory.
Philosophy? Cheap, let's ASM run pacifism, and provides another wonder. Also leads to nationalism, so we could go for the Taj Majal.
Divine Right? Gives another religion, and two wonders. But again, expensive and not strictly necessary. Also it would be a huge clue to the other teams, on what we're doing.
Optics? Would help me defend against a blockade :P.
I don't think we need guilds or feudalism. What say you, Lewwyn?

The larger body of water is only 10 tiles. Wouldn't it have to be more than 10 tiles to qualify as salt water, and therefore allow lighthouses and navy to be built? I think the other 6 tile lake counts separately from the 10 water tiles adjacent to your city, so it doesn't surpass the 10 water tile threshold. I could also be wrong.
Edit: Thanks for providing more correct information, Seven.

10+ tiles: salty, can build lighthouse etc
20+ tiles: can build boats
