Civ6 demos don't update in real-time so I'd assume that this is right.

Edit: The above was about science.

Well I was wrong about this. Science does update in real time. But for some reason the score doesn't (tested this by city-gifting).

This is either going to be really disappointing or really exciting: For conquering Lisbon, he'll get one new back-lines city and maybe a builder or two (Lisbon can't have many military units yet, right? And each kill isn't guaranteed to give him a builder...) in the time when e.g. Sullla will have gotten two new forward cities and comparable total population with fewer housing/amenities problems, plus Yuris will lose the free 4gpt Lisbon is giving him. The only advantage he'll have at that point will be the veteran Jags from the Lisbon war - and the only way to use that advantage effectively will be through more conquering!

(The extra builders - if he gets any - will help a little too, but at last report he didn't bother teching Mining to prepare for them, going for Archery instead without a boost.)

He's only building 2 Eagle Warriors IIRC, so that's 130h roughly comparable with 1 settler(The second settler costs 100h and a pop point). If he's really a full second settler down it must be due to some other element of his play.

He probably intends to take Stockholm afterwards though.

That's what I thought too - in fact, I thought his plan was to build one and buy one to go with the starting unit - but he says he's still building the things, and surely he must have three by now....

(I guess if he's building two on top of the bought one, and he sacrificed so many hammers for growth that he hasn't even finished the second-built one yet?)

He has no mining, so he has no production, hence the slow build times.

The only reason to select the Aztecs in my opinion would be to steamroll people. Hence, I think he would need to go after other city states next (in fact he should have gone for the ones he didn't invest envoys in). If he were to field an army of 4-5 UUs, he might be able to pull this off and go after one player (preferably the leader at that point). I doubt he is going to do that.
He wouldn't need to build any builders, just fill the back with some settlers while terrorizing others (he could pillage resources too).

Do we feel, he is going to do that?

Oh no please don't.

There isn't any way to do this even theoretically, right? Even if you set out to convert everyone simultaneously, as you would have to, once you have 2 missionaries next to every city of a player, he is not going to let them stay there, right? I guess, some cities can eventually fall to religious pressure, but man...

I guess, you could stash up a bunch of missionaries embarked off-shore, and then suddenly unload on every coast in the world, and pray for lack of garrisons, that could get you somewhere. Still with faith per turn being public, someone's gonna smell a rat.

At this point, my hope is that teh can put up a credible good game, otherwise this will quickly get very boring.

Eh, what Archduke needs to do for Sulla to "get the message" and retreat his warrior is to advance and threaten Ravenna, not passively camp his warriors next to proposed city site.

If Archduke would be aware of Sullla having a mere 2 military units, he could be a lot more aggressive. The slinger is no match for 2 warriors and he could threaten Sullla's third settler too.

I see no evidence, that he is 'reading' the game so far.
