Turn 1
The game has begun!!!!!
I receive the inspiration for Diplomatic Service and Eureka for writing, as we can expect.
Here are the opening moves I went with. Let me know if you would prefer to discuss all moves or try to keep the game moving and go with what I think is best / what we have discussed so far.
I settle in place. Got a banana, 2 stone, and an elephant in my borders all ready. Hell ya!
I set my capital to max growth working the rice tile. Set to grow to size 2 in 4 turns. Scout says 10 turns but that will change after I hit size 2.
I moved my warrior onto the hills to get the most view I could. Lots of pastures, god the open sky may be an option. I was going to have him follow the river south to see if there is another good city spot on this river.
Research set to astrology and that will be done in 18 turns. Hopefully either I find a science cs, (which I would rather have you first meet but I don't think we can really plan out who meets who first) or a natural wonder. I think if you find one it will count for me as well considering we share view. Settler view didn't show anything (it is turn 1) and continent view says all visible tiles are on the same continent (I don't remember the name).
Finally here is a shot of the great people available at the start of the game.
Nothing really sticks out to me. It would be nice if I got enough Great People points to get Donatello, just so Kongo can't, but that was all that came to mind.
I still think that divine spark is the way to go for my pantheon though if I can get it.
I think the best use of builder #1 is to grab rice, quarry the stone hills and get the amenity from the elephants. Don't think making a 2/1 grasslands stone into a 2/2 when I have other 2/2 tiles to work is the way to go.
I'll await your input.
