Yup, as is standard in RtR, Scouts have no tech requirement, and each player starts with one.  (Most players also start with a Settler, of course.)

As soon as Xenu gets back from the shops he'll figure out where I was going with this allusion and host the game. Probably on the wrong port. In a few hours.

As long as no one on the map team has calculated a checksum value for the map file for verification purposes, no one will know that I've edited the save to include a Vandal uprising of axemen in the immediate vicinity of Old Harry's start.  Although, to be fair to his point, I probably put the barbs near the wrong player's start....

I'm working on getting this online now.  I don't remember conversation around it but I'm assuming the normal turn timer should equate to around 24 hours real time. For the first turn, though, I'll set the timer to an obnoxiously high value in the interests of making sure everyone shows up for the first turn without having to resort to a reload.

Tech thread is up and the game is live. The first turn is set to 100 hours to make sure everyone gets logged in and plays, but please don't use all of that time.

Check your settings on the first turn or forever hold your peace.

On another note, is the greasemonkey script that disables clicking on unwanted threads still around? I did a search but ended up with a dead dropbox link. Anybody know a live one?

The game is up again.  I've logged in to test the connection, logged out, and it seemed to go OK.  Then the pitboss instance crashed for some reason (not sure why).  I reloaded it, tested logging in again, logged out successfully and it didn't crash that time.  It seems stable now so let's start logging in and playing the first turn.  Let me know if there are any problems.

The one thing I know is incorrect now is that the first turn timer is set to only 24 hours, so after you play your turn please PAUSE THE GAME so that we can avoid a reload on the first turn.  I want to make sure everyone has time to be aware the game is live and that we're playing now.  After an approximately four month setup window for this game it wouldn't be unexpected for someone to be not watching this thread super closely and to completely miss that we've started for a few days.  Again, if anything is wrong please post here to let us know and thanks for your patience.
