Mardoc has archers now. I intercepted one outside a city and killed it with the odds highly stacked in my favor (90%+).
I sent Mardoc a peace offer several turns ago, one city (the copper one) for peace. I think it's a good idea to give someone an "out" that would benefit both parties more than the war itself would.
Imo he should have taken it. He didn't. I've committed too much by now to settle for just one city. Let's find out if I can make him regret that decision

How many vultures do you have?

Six, and one spear on defense duty lol. I had put hammers into a warrior which turned into a spear when I hooked up metal, so it was cheaper to complete a spear to deal with barbs.
I might want to relocate that spear to the front when the barbs are under control. It could prove valuable as a defensive unit to cover our vultures.

Mardoc offered peace while giving us Diplodocus. I declined, like I said it's too late to settle for one city. We have officially made him regret not taking that deal when I offered it
I attacked into Diplodocus and killed one of the defending archers. I will capture it the next time I play if he doesn't reinforce it.

Short report cause WoW expansion stream just went live.
I took Diplodocus without losses.
Mardoc offered Diplodocus and Apatosaurus for peace. I ended up declining. We can take it for free in a few turns.
We've got cities to burn to prevent him from being able to strike back after we sue for peace

Seems clear to me that the asteroid theory doesn't tell the whole story. You're going to exterminate those dinosaurs, you bad man. You'll make the children weep!

Actual advice: don't sue for peace. Just eliminate him. If you leave him alive, he'll never stop trying to destroy you, and if you can't safely turn the empire over to infrastructure then there isn't much advantage to making peace. If he holes up with too many Archers to kill in his final city, at least ensure he can't chop out an offensive force. I think you've been burned by leaving a conquest unfinished before- certainly plenty of other players have.

Sounds good. We'll have to see how far we can push.
Last turn I captured a worker, and this turn I killed an archer defending Apatosaurus. Still no losses on our side.
I might be able to capture Apatosaurus the next time I play. Triceratops afterwards should be easier since it's on flat land.

We lost a Vulture in a 70% roll unfortunately, but we burned down Apatosaurus in his honor
The city was size 1, no buildings, only 1 non-shared resource and far from capital. Wasn't any point in keeping it. We can always replant to fill that area later in the game.
It looks like we'll be facing at least 4 archers in Triceratops. Once our reinforcements join up it should be an easy task to take it.

I can attack Triceratops next turn with 6 vultures (two injured) and 2 warriors. He has 4 archers and 4 warriors defending. I'm hoping that he does not retreat because I'd rather fight 4 archers in Triceratops than have them all move to his capital which should have higher defensive bonuses. I doubt that I can capture the city next turn, but I have more vultures on the way and I aim to chip away at it. In other news more barbs are appearing which ties my units. I really want to get that spear to the front lines, might have to have one vulture stay behind in its place. Also I want to grab some land to the south before Fenn beats me to it. I have one city location in mind that should "lock down" most of the land that I want.
