Dunno, but due to the seafood that city would be decent once the borders pop.

I don't think I have any spares, but your need is probably greater than mine, I'll have a look next turn.

How about pre-workshopping around your least effective commerce cities, that way you can quickly bulldoze the cottages for a production spike once chemistry, Caste System and State Property come in?

If the situation looks hopeless up at Paranoid, I'd retreat; don't risk the stack. I must admit I'm not sure what the purpose of leaving large numbers of units behind on a hill would be. I'd rather them in Cellphone to reduce risk of its loss - actually I kind of wish we'd just razed it, but we didn't discuss that - or in a movable reserve, or in any stack that might hit Figure Skater.
Razing it might have been better, but using it as a forward base for naval dominance could be good too. You're right, I think retreat might be the best option now (am I being too conservative HAK?)

Turn 117
I gifted you fish, fur and incense, then realised I didn't need banana as much as you do, so sent you that too.
The stack is running away, I didn't leave anything on the hill overlooking paranoid, but I can move back there with a handful of longbows if you think it's a good idea? For the attack on figure skater how about putting a well-protected worker on the jungle pretending to build a cottage, get four or five unpromoted muskets into cramped (move other unis out so it doesn't look suspicious) then finish the road, promote the muskets to GII and hit figure skater? Ah, hang on, GII doesn't give you extra moves does it? The muskets would need to be nearer to the border.
Anyhow I started a few muskets. Moai finishes this turn. I had a look at techs and I wondered if code of laws and courthouses would be better than banking: I'm making 221 base commerce and city maintenance is 74 gpt, so banks everywhere would get us 110 gold while courthouses in both my civ and yours would be about 70 gpt. Banks are 134 hammers each, courthouses are 80 each, so the benefit is pretty even. So do you have enough stuff to be building in your cities at the moment? If so we should go for Banking, if not it should be COL.
One last thing - you need to revolt to bureau, but you could revolt to mercantilism at the same time for extra specialists if you wait for banking to finish...
I didn't end turn in case you want to fiddle with anything/make any gifts, so can you do it for me?

Guerrilla II gives double movement over hills, doesn't it? That could work - but that's something for Nakor, I guess, since he should be back as of tomorrow - on which day, by the way, I will be unable to play any turns. Work, then company.
I can still build markets, but they're not necessarily that useful for me. I definitely do need to be in Bureau, but didn't want to do a one-civic revolt either - I'm leaning toward Banking too. I can just build knights while you're on banks - though I'll build one in Courcelette (shrine).
I'll end turn for you.

At this point our team does not think the game is in any doubt and would be good with conceding. Seven said his team is most likely fine with that (didn't speak to Mack about it). But both of us would be fine to continue playing if either RMOG or 4H had a burning desire to keep going or to reach some personal goal. So let us know what you think, yeah?
Any thoughts?

I kinda think it's more a decision for the primary turn-players, who unfortunately are not present right now. I think I'll try and send HAK an email (Nakor will be back tomorrow), but as far as I know he was enjoying this game a fair bit. Awkward timing on the concession proposal ...

I have to agree with Lewwyn, the game is played.
I'm ok with conceding if HAK is fine as well.

It sounds as though HAK would be the only person playing on if he wanted to, so I'd guess he'd concede. He got his wish of taking a city off RMOG and I don't think there are any other immediate goals.
So I'd back a concession if you want to post in the tech thread Nakor.
I'd quite like to go find out what was happening on the SMACK-LAM and SMACK-RMOG borders too.

I just wanted to say a big thank-you to everyone on our team, especially Nakor, who stepped up for me at a rough spot personally, and HAK, who agreed to partner with me! Your input, positive energy, and willingness to pick up turns when HAK or I had to drop them were all much appreciated. Thank-you, everyone!
Overall, I think we ended on a high note, with a major accomplishment under our belts and plans for more. We suffered some setbacks, but were never crushed; we are able to leave this game with our heads held high. We may not have performed as well as teams we knew to be more skilled than us, but by our own standards I think we did well, and can be proud of our achievements in this game. Go team!
I enjoyed playing with you all, and look forward to seeing you again in a team thread or on the field of battle. Good game, and thanks again to you all.
