Turn 74, The One Where AT tries to start reporting more often
I'm sorry that I haven't been reporting - I am finding this to be a fun game, but I'm not reporting it.
High level:
Still 4 cities, behind my neighbors, but with 2 more settlers coming out soon.
4 turns from Great Lighthouse, which I think will be effective on this map.
Lots of barb warriors have been repulsed.
One oddity in this game: It is turn 74 and NO wonders have fallen. In pb27, PYRAMIDS was gone by now, to say nothing of stonehenge and the great wall.
Some pics:
4 turns from the lighthouse. I'll whip it when I can, which is, I think, next turn. Dunno if I'll be beaten to it or not. It's a good wonder for this game, though, so I hope I get it. Fail gold will be a poor 2nd place. My guess is half the teams are at least debating this wonder, if not building it already.
Both opponents have 5 cities - I have 4, but I have 2 settlers being built, plus a nice barb city to pick up in 10 turns or so.
Next city is the red - not sure if I go circle or square - I'm thinking circle right now - long term, gives a more efficient use of tiles.
Looking for a place to put a city here - maybe a crappy, no food one to get the dye? Will be a border dispute with ichabod, but I'm creative, so have an advantage there.
Red is looking, more and more, like a marginal city long term. Blue is looking like my moai city - lots of food, a couple of hills, lots of coast.
This region is one of the reasons I want the lighthouse. Plenty of islands out here. Navy will be important this game, which means protective is actually stronger. Coastal cities are more vulnerable to attack, so the extra CG1 and drill 1 are really helpful.
Down here is where the actual next city is created, as I have a settler coming out in 3 turns. I'm not sure where to put it, though.
One of the reds is an idea. Yellow is a crappy filler city. I'm thinking blue, to set up for brown (which will be a killer city, but hard to support right now.). I might stretch to brown, though - FP and fur is hard to pass up. And I am protective, so I should be able to protect. I'm just a little short of workers right now. I dunno.
Demos are looking pretty good.
Tech path - I have writing, masonry and archery, plus all the food and worker techs, plus sailing (obviously, since I'm building the lighthouse). I have a library (yay!), mainly because I need stuff to build as cities grow. All cities have granaries. Basic plan for a city is granary->archer while it grow->settler->worker.

Turn 75, The One Where AT Whips a wonder
Unless someone else finishes it in the turn order ahead of me (and I think I'm low in the turn order), I get the Lighthouse, which is a nice little boost.
So, yay!! 1st wonder to me!!
Objects in your rearview mirror may be closer than you think!!
Guess Basis is my border!! I might try to shove in another next to the dye, but it would be a crap-ass city, sure to piss off ichabod.
Ichabod has 2 size seven cities? really???
What my cities are producing:
That's 1 settler for the north and one for the south. The workboat is for the settler for the south.

Turn 75, The One Where AT Gets the First Wonder
Woohoo! Great Lighthouse goodness!!
The lighthouse is not as uber powerful as it is in Base BTS, but since basically every city will be coastal, it's not bad at all and for rather little cost.
Demos aren't bad, though:
Behind in food, which isn't great.
I also found dreylin, who is more western than I thought - he's on the other site of the peak that blocks my land travel. I didn't get a screenie, though.
I'll get 2 more cities in a couple of turns, one SE and one NW. That will get me in a TIE with Ichabod.
NW:
2 cow, oasis, lake. Not great, not terrible. Doesn't quite get the marble, but gets me close.
Not a great site, but gets me closer to the stone/fur/etc.
Ichabod is playing a nice game - he's going IW next, where I'm going math. I need iW, as well, so maybe that's after math, but I want better chops first. I do need IW for that pigs site, though.
I figure it's not too long till I can go take that barb city, which is a nice bonus.

Turn 76, The One Where Nothing much happensr
Seriously. Settlers kept moving, stuff kept building. dreylin and ichabod caught up to me in power, so I'll have to pay attention to ichabod for a potential attack more closely, but I doubt one is coming - there's very little profit in attacking a protective civ with so much land still to claim, unless you are molach and have a very strong early UU. Granted, swords are awesome city takers, but I also get wicked cheap walls

Turn 78, The One Where AT Catches Up To Dreylin In Cities
Nothing very interesting happened on Turn 77, either, apparently Well, Ichabod got the Oracle on either Turn 77 or 78. btw - Stonehenge? still available. What. The. Hell?
Founded Theorist Rock
That will have 2 cows, oasis and a lake tile, plus some hills. Will end up a military/naval base, I'm sure. One of the things I have to figure out is how to get ships from one of these seas to another. I don't really have any idea how big they are, but I think they are essentially lakes.
As you can see, Ichabod got Oracle. I presume he took metal Casting with it, and will buld collosus. he's financial, and there's a lot of water, so it's a good pickup for him.
Demos - strong in GNP (unsurprising for a creative civ with the lighthouse at this point) Not doing great in the other demos - need to catch up there. Probably partly cause I've whipped a fair amount - I suspect I'm behind on city count, as well.
Found another city in the south next turn. A barb is being annoying.
next settler goes to the fish island in the west. I have places for about 8 more cities that I can see easily, so will be ramping up production on those. Want spriggan, the island north of that, the fur to my east, Circassian (the barb city)...
Speaking of circassian - it's size 2, so time to go pick it up. I wonder if a protective archer can capture it? Have to see what the odds would be. May need an axe instead.
Units:
need more workers - only have 5, for 5 (soon to be 6) cities.

Turn 79, The One Where AT Catches Up To Ichabod and Finds Jowy's Borders
Founded Chair Contest
Crab, Rice, Copper. Not a great city, but it gets me close to what will be a great city, which is the FP/fur city. Won't be able to found that for awhile, though.
What I'm working on
I had to do some tweaking to get math in 2 - new city jumped costs to 19, which meant I'd miss. Dropping to 90% science meant I missed as well, but I switched the cap to a cottage and it was back to 2.
Really, it's 3 turns to the settler, with the chop I'll get.
Sandhill is going to get it's lib and grow enough to run a pair of scientists. Dunno if that's a GA, a bulb or an academy, but getting a GP would be good.
Gets it's worker and builds a galley->chariot->settler. I really want to get up to the island up there, because of:
That's Jowy (presumably - he's the only red civ, as far as I can tell)
The chariot will be for Circassian and then further exploration.
Looking further west and south for neighbors.
Still have work to do on population (thus food and mfg)

btw - I haven't said it, but I've come to really like this map. There are lots of decisions to make. Granted, I haven't seen that Ichabod started with 2 wet corn in his cap yet, so I have a chance to be outraged still, but...

Turn 80, The One Where AT Acutally Meets Jowy
Jowy
The city I found is his more recent, Thor. He founded it with no protection, which is an interesting choice in a world with barbs. I don't have a galley where I can take advantage of that, so maybe it's not a bad one at all.
Stonehenge fell - not to me, Jowy or Ichabod, though. Stonehenge (as dtay has shown in PB27 - that's not really a spoiler anymore) combined with imp is pretty powerful. He's up 2 cities on me - you'd think he'd have the extra time to build a wonder which is really awesoem for him.
Still looking. There will be someone this way.
No real changes here.

Turn 81, The One Where That is 3 Cubed
Ok, really, it's the one where I meet 2 (TWO!) more people
Molach! Actually, Molach met me before I met him. He's south - oddly, he knows Jowwy, though I guess this is a toroid, so maybe they meet on the other side. Molach is tied in cities with me.
btw - that barb city is crap. It gets razed, I'm sure. Actually, maybe it doesn't. That's the south-west of that city, not the north east. Which means it gets the pig, which means it's good. Hopefully, Molach doesn't snag it or kill it so I can't get it. I'll have to move my axe over there and an archer to cover Chair Game.
Adrien I met up north, via warrior on the coast between Jowy and Ichabod. He's ahead of me by a city, as you can see.
Everybody seems to know everyone, so I'm far behind on my contacts As Jowy is very close, I put 2 EP on him and 1 each on Adrien and Moloch.
Demos aren't particularly changing very much.

I should do an overview of where cities will go - I think I have room, easily, for 13 more.
