I believe for 6 players PB38 picking method could bring you 4 civs and 8 leaders to pick from at once. However you can agree on limited amount of options to make it worth rerolling and save intrigue.
My timezone is GMT+3, but I dont really think we must base on timezone instead of personal preferences. I have time to chat during day or night, it doesnt match with my playing windows. Though I doubt there will be heavy debates demanding us to be online at the same time.
So I will be happy to dedlurk the person whoever wants it more despite of nationality and location. If noone does I will choose someone to annoy by myself at random.

I think the mapmaker gets to make this call...
Anyway, I'm BST (UTC + 1) over the summer, then UTC. I'm not sure that having an exact matching timezone matters too much though; I'm kind of expecting ded-lurkers to act more as mentors rather than full-on teammates for this one.

Some of us tend to be awake at odd hours anyway.

Elum spoke about being interested if this started after the 6th of july, do you want to wait and play with one more player ?
Edit : I misread, it's the 6th of june instead so disregard this
