I'm actually nuts enough to enjoy running, which is probably why i'm bummed now. I strained my calf pretty bad a month ago, and then last week, right as i was able to walk again, i tore the muscle in what has to be one of the lamest ways i have ever injured myself.
Anyway, when i do run i might think about civ, but more often i'm just focused on the run and let my mind wander. Great for relieving stress. I might think a bit about general strategy, but micro takes too much focus for me to do that and run.
Oh, except for the run club. Then my mind is focused on the lady runners. No better motivation to keep going than that.

Turn 074
First of all, let's turn our attention to our southwesternly neighbor. First, let's look at this old picture of all the land they had to travel through in order to settle the gold location:
Now, they finally settled their 4th city a couple turns ago. A certain jungle suddenly went missing.
I'm pretty sure this is where his second city is placed given that the horse is hooked:
In fairness to them, that peak placement is just wretched. Horrible luck there, that was always going to screw up their opening. That said, I cannot think of a single game here where the first two city plants were that many tiles combined from the capital. First city was 6 tiles away, second was 8 tiles in the opposite direction. 14 combined tiles. Can't make this stuff up. To be constructive, 1W of the copper, sharing the amazing wet grassland wheat is a pretty solid spot for a second city, third then being 3E of that with pig/horse first ring and cow/stone second. I would bet they would be doing way, way better demographically had they done that.
Anyway, screw it, Great Wall plz.
With stone it's 75h, so basically 2 axes. Considering we're probably saving 2 axe builds by building this, we may as well.
Whipped our galley here. Barb warrior is making things pretty awkward here, though:
So I really, really wish I had attacked that barb with the 0xp axe, freeing the 2xp axe to move north. Not too thrilled about that decision. Anyway, no choice but to move the archer northwest here to nail the warrior next turn. Really hope the warrior does not move onto the cows, because we wouldn't really be able to risk attacking across the river. Anyway, next turn (75) we'll load the galley and move W-NW. We're expecting 49ers to grow end of this turn, so we'll watch for the growth in Civstats. Anyway, that galley will then be out of sight, exactly 3 tiles away from the port of 49ers. Hopefully we'll capture on T76. We shall see. Overview shot:
We should think about where to put that settler, but honestly it's difficult to decide because in the case we end up burning 49ers, we'll want to send it there probably.

I don't see any problem with attacking the warrior with the axe across the river. We'll still get something like 99.7% odds.
Anyway, are we attacking Nakor soon or no?

Oh you want to attack the warrior with the archer. Why do we need to do that, are the axes moving out next turn? I guess we are going to send three axes to the tile 2S of Bulldogs which is not visible to Nakor?

Yeah I don't know. I've been doing a lot of skimming lately. Must be because I need to actually pay attention to the werewolf thread this time.

Yeah, you'll have to make the call whether delaying the attack a turn is worth better barb security.
I'll be around a little tonight, but tomorrow I don't know if I'll get a chance to look at the game at all. Have tickets to the OSU football game tomorrow against Colorado. And Colorado doesn't seem like an automatic W any more.
