Great Prophet?
Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis |

Yes, great prophet.
From sims, I can't see a way to get out two great people in the time available with a non-philo leader. So a Great Prophet, timed for when AV has just been researched, is the way to go.
City Locations
Tightly bunched in, able to share coves. All with food resources. 4 coves total, spread out along the coast. The next build in the capital is a work boat for crabs. After which it will be a warrior, letting the capital grow to size 5. Then the first settler. Note the unhealthiness? No fresh water for my clones. It's kind of irritating. Part of the reason I'm pushing for crabs to be connected before the settler gets started.EDIT: Also: "Fast Start" Falamar would be almost as slow as Hanah in putting out settlers here. Almost all my settler production will come from food. I find thats generally the case for the Lanun even in more conventional maps, one of the reasons Falamar is so rubbish . His minor health boost would actually be handy though. A pity he is traitorous PURGE scum.
Philosophy is in. Now I just need to build the White Hand ritual and I'll have those priests.. oh.. wait.. wrong game.
You might not realize this, but I actually can play openings where I build workers and don't rush for philosophy. Maybe I'll even show it one of these games. Selrahc Wrote:Philosophy is in. How's the actual grand strategy (as opposed to the fake ones you've floated to other people) going?
Chugging along. No upsets.
14 turns until city number 2. 9 turns until Way of the Wicked. I'll be civic swapping to slavery and pacifism and slaving 4 turns off the Settler, putting the overflow into a workboat for pearls, build another work boat for the new city cove, then build a pagan temple. Start on generating a Great Prophet. City 2 once founded will be building a work boat to hook up fish, and then build a settler and warrior escorts for city 3, the last city I'll create. I'm still on track for T90 Hyborem, and I will be unless something goes awry. EDIT: Nicolae Carpathia Wrote:Are the latest two comments directed at me The Falamar one was just about the whole general debate that exists. I just think Hanah is better in almost all situations... mainly because the Lanun normally build settlers by working seafood which Falamar is no better at doing. And um.. I don't think you're beelining Philosophy in the Sheaim game.. unless you neglected to tell me something!
Nah, that was just me taking the piss out of you in my thread.
Here, have a picture: ![]() Edit: Ah, been re-reading this thread after I understand FFH a bit more helps alot. So, how will the demonic revolution against the fascist computer occur?
Hey Selrahc,
Not that it really matters to your plans in the slightest, but does Hyborem get the seafaring tech if the Lanun summon them?
That's interesting, actually. Hell terrain does not affect water, so pearls would be a nice tile to work. I'd imagine they would.
