Demos before i swapped tiles around to grow the capital +2nd city this turn ( giving us 49 food )

Next turn the scout will move down to help fogbust. Boil it will whip ASAP, which i dont know if that will be next turn or not.. but the overflow will go into a library, along with the chops that will be popping soon.

Our food hammers are looking mighty fine. I want to take this opportunity to thank the mapmaker for our great starting area. Very defensible lands against barbs and other players while also being rich in food.

As long as we don't crash economically we should be in a good position. I reckon we can at least plant fish-cow and fish-clam city before needing to consolidate to avoid to much delay in techs. I think sailing for trade routes to either the eastern island or Pindicator, and the ability to work coast might be needed before math or directly after. (I'm used to playing on small immortal maps so I do not know exactly how punishing upkeep will be on this map).

How about fishclam city for an early moai statues after granary and lighthouse? With 10 coast, 3 ocean and 2 sea resources it is a good enough Moai. It has two plains hills and three forests so that it can be completed very fast with the stone. It will then be the perfect city for producing a navy on the eastern coast to control that island.

Carthage researching IW might be for peaceful purposes. CTH swords are not RTR swords after. He looks to be in the jungle and it is on the way to Cothons. Still, it would be good to have a scout on his borders to have foreknowledge on any settlers/armies coming our way and to signal to him that we are keeping an eye on him. A scout should be seen as non-threatening. If we can claim more land to the east and southwest we do not have to fight Pindi for a long time as we are approaching how many cities our economy can handle. Open Borders and trade with him might be a good idea in the short term.

Basically as soon as we researched Writing, he offered open borders. I accepted then. I hope to slam another row of cities to the south/southwest before having to try and eat Pindicator. HOWEVER... Pindi is playing as carthage, so we either need Elephants... HA, or ALOT of spears to stop a numid rush. If we see him teching HBR we must prepare. Hopefully, he wont be able to get there in the next 20t or so. Going to keep a scout near/in his cities once we got the spare production.

Swapped tiles around to complete the library in Barbecue it. ( FROM NOW ON, skipping the "it" part of every name when i type here... )

Whipped settler will head to the Fish/cow city and we will have a road completed the turn it is to settle if i did my math right. Followed by the workers hooking up the cow with the city growing on a granary. Hopefully by the time the granary is done, we will have researched Math, and we can 1 chop out the workboat ( or whip ) Saving alot of forests for maths, which i think we can have in about 10t. Possibly less. A couple cities have workers queued up to continue improving the land, while the capital will bust out its current settler then finish its library before shitting out more settlers. Everywhere else will be granary/library/units/workers. Capital's 4-6t pace for settlers should be a good pace for cities here.

Totally agree on dropping "it"

Doing well in population and foodhammers but our GNP is still bad if you factor in our culture output.

I think we should get sailing right away to get the trade routes going. The commerce from foreign trade is highly significant with our current wealth rate of 18. It will grown with time as we get an increasing bonus and settle more cities.

Our best counter against Numids is HBR as construction is so expensive. We match their speed but have higher strength. Archers would do a decent job of defending a our hill cities against them as well and are cheap. Maybe we can try to always do 0/100% research to have a small buffer of wealth to tech archery/HBR if we need to do it.

Our GNP will look a bit bad for awhile due to PRO giving those that have it 2c trade routes with themselves. So dont feel TOO bad about it. I dont mind going HBR for safety/opportunity either. Math-Sailing-(settleislandcity) Currency-Archery-HBR?

2nd place GNP working the gold mine... so yay? Working the gold mine in order to shave off a turn on maths.

Did the math on the production city. At size 7 it will get 20 base hammers. Id say thats not half bad for a somewhat normal looking map. ( i miss my pb43 HE city... )

We want the capitals settler to go NE to the clam/fish site right?

Yes! Double food and low distance upkeep.

The southwest does not look critical go claim with all that jungle. If there is a neighbour there then we have time go fill out the closer land first. I get why pindicator went for iron.

The weakened Japan is at war with pindi... Interesting.

And that is where Japan is.

They look very weak indeed. Only three cities turn 38? Pindi have not had a large military what we can see from the graphs. Did he surprise them? We should open borders with Japan if you have not already. getting the scout through and meeting others is critical.

The land curving off means that we might be stuck behind Pindi if he expands towards dyes/horses or conquers Japan. He could shut us off from the rest unless we find a sea route.
