I'd got it as being 1 turn behind - turn 74 was when all the chariots got smeared wasn't it?

So Demos refer to last turn and Graphs refer to the turn before (which is what you were saying). Ignore me. smile

demos are current turn. If I make a chance (spices to cottage, cottage to hill, or just change resource rate) they change the demos immediately.

I thought I read somewhere that graphs were always on a 2 turn delay. I could be wrong, though.

the turn finally rolled, but we're waiting for azza to play his turn first. In the mean time, here's the picture dump i promised you:

demos (last turn, right before the revolt to Judaism)

Odysseus the scout is still fighting his way through the jungle, no end immediately in sight:

the border:

spear and chariot on the gold, along with 2 workers. after azza plays if we are still at peace we move the the 2 workers north of gilgamesh there and one turn the gold mine. the archer is 2 turns from completion. there's another spear in odyssey this turn, so it'll cover the Iron in 2 turns.

inside the Iliad:
we'll grow for 2 turns, then finish up the worker in 3. after that Gilgamesh will take back both grains and grow to size 9. the iliad will have the happy to grow to 5 or 6, but growth is more important in gilgamesh, so it will have to do it slowly on cottages while very slowly finishing that workboat frown. lol, we have 1 hammer into a barracks here that will likely never be built.

and overview after the revolt:

Lewwyn, I changed some tiles in the aenid and the odyssey. feel free to switch them back, but this seems like a no brainer to me.
The Aenid is now working cows and the shared mine. The odyssey is working sheep and wheat. the odyssey is 2 under its happy cap (will be 3 when silver is connected) and has plenty of improved tiles to work. it needs to grow to size 5 quickly so it can work the sheep, 2 cottages, and both mines (or the oasis/ a new cottage instead of the mine if we want to give one mine to the aenid). The aenid only has the cows that are improved and not shared, so growth is less important here. plus it can finish the spear in 5 turns without whipping this way.

I couldnt resist moving Odysseus while logged in (made no other moves)

Good fucking grief there's a lot of jungle down there. It is going to take us forever to find another civ cry

yeah... this is an incredibly interesting map, I'm glad Krill stepped in and rolled it for us. But this jungle land bridge is annoying. I really hope it doesnt dead end at the end, that would be incredibly frustrating - we may just have to delete the chariot, rather than run all the way back to azza land, only to be blocked from retreat (he'll surely have built a monument and expanded his borders by then).

I still think we'll meet Serdoa at the end of this path - he must have taken his scout through all this jungle. It seems like a strange thing to do, but less strange than declaring war on azza just to pass through, and for some reason azza not killing his scout. (especially since there is no "you declared war" demerit between the two of them, although I'm not clear if we would see that if the war was ended before we made contact with either of them).

Assuming there is someone at the end of this Amazon, I wonder if it might have been a good idea for Azza to settle so as to cut us off from this jungle? He benefits if we can't make contact with other civs. Of course he may not have explored it much himself, and may not know that it goes this far south.

well civ stats is down, so I had to pop in the game to check - but azza played his turn without a DOW. I don't think he's planning on initiating a war anytime soon.

I went ahead and founded Volsung. we jumped from +19 to 28 gold at max tax, and 44GNP to 56GNP at max tax smile at max science we are at 67, just 3 off from the top spot. Breakeven research went from 49%ish to 58%ish. Talk about a city that pays for itself wink.
by the time we are researching writing we should have that prize handily. azza turned his research back on and is 3 turns from writing. we should continue at max tax this turn then turn on max science to finish priesthood the same turn azza finishes writing. with a bit of gold left over.

worker actions are slow in the tundra frown silver mine will take 6 turns, then 3 more for the road to connect it. yuck. the galley is going to have to hang out until its done to transport cassandra back to the mainland. she won't be needed once the silver mine is complete - the city is nothing but the silver mine, water, and ice tiles. hehe.

Played. We have gold. Odyssey can reach like 5 pop now even with the whips now.

I have to go to bed so when turn rolls, you have to get in there Bigger and move our workers. We should move the spear that is north of Beo onto the forest with the worker or workers. Do we go with 2 workers on the forest or 1? I think 1 should be fine. I think we should cottage the tile NW gold as both aenid and beo share it. Also we should road the wines ahead of time. Then what? Road to pig Iron? going to need an escort for the workers.

We may need to move one of our chariots out of beo into Aenid next turn just in case brick has a warrior in his galley. I don't want to be the fool.

Next turn we should have 2 spears, 1 axe and 2 chariots in Beo, 1 chariot in Aenid, and 1 spear on the forest with the worker.

Once we have the archer and the walls in Beo, I think it will be safe to move 2 spears and an axe with the workers down onto the rice to farm. So a few turns yet.

Serdoa is the only one left to play.
