Yes, and with the forest not being natural they wouldn't be created until the worker labour to quickly lumbermill them was in place.
Although, it's a rather slapdash crazy process. New forests aren't allowed to have lumbermills. So you need to wait until the new forests mature into regular forests, workers at the ready. Then roll in and convert them to lumbermills before they turn into ancient forests. It works better if you can start in a heavily forested area, lumbermill it prior to conversion, then take a 20 turn junket into the Fellowship to get ancient forests spread around, before ditching it for a proper combat faith. Hand making the forests yourself turns it into a 50 turn or more excursion.

We're Hyborem rushing! Fast as I possibly can.
Which in the test runs, has been T85-95 from a similarly icy start. With agreements from Dantski and Sciz, it doesn't look like anyone will stop me so the only real danger is from the Kuriotates possibly beating us there.
Ah. I wasn't sure if that was a definite plan or as a "possible" plan. Plus the RP thing got confusing at times and I started skipping over some of the text. I'm not really familiar with the lore that you're invoking.
So what of the initial move to the sea? Do you think that was a good move?
And yeah, being unable to lumbermill ancient forests is really stupid. I'd strongly consider that a bug. You could plant the forests without converting to FoL, and wait for them to become regular forests and then lumbermill them before converting. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be in FoL to get new forests to become regular forests.

Unless I see someone else founding the veil, or get declared on, Hyborem rush is the strategy.

Well you can take heart in the fact that the RP is a feature of the Lanun game. Hyborem will be OOC, and I'll probably start up a new thread.

Yes.
With the two neighbours committing to peace until I'll have the rush finished, that's the last doubt resolved. The commerce and food I lost will be regained easily over the next few dozen turns since I'll be working 2/0/7, 5/0/3 and 3/3/8 sea tiles while they're all working plains farms. The production lost is now effectively meaningless.
If I lose the summon race, then maybe this isn't such a great position since I'll have to go and get all those worker techs that this sea start lets me ignore, and go back for the land site of the capital. I think this location is definitely the strongest for my early tech rate though.

You should absolutely do a GLADoS hyborem, trading one tyrannical computer for another! It'll be great :D

Good thing Maksim gave you a river then, you'd have been pretty screwed if you didn't at least know which direction the sea was.
You should be done with Mysticism right about now, I think? Getting Philosophy or KotE next?

I have changed the fake plan. The fake plan is now to rush for Gibbon Goetia, to vitalize my land. This will help explain why I have Slavery so early.
I'm going to attempt to spread this rumour by asking for a loan of both of my neighbours Nature Mana. I'm going to offer Dantski a water mana, for Corlindale, and Sciz some vitalizations. If they believe it, then hopefully anybody scared of me Hyborem rushing who talks to them will get a plausible alternative and possible attempts to stop me will be derailed.
The fact that the Elohim get their own early Archmage, plus nature mana, means they've really good at this terraform game. The only better civs would be the elves(ancient forests everywhere!) and the Illians.

I look forward to hearing the adjustments to the fake plan when you found the Veil.
"I'm just trying to get entropy mana so that I can help you, personally."
"I'm attempting to raise the AC so that we can summon the Riders, kill them & take their stuff."
"I need to build Diseased Corpses to further my research into the cure for cancer."

How far are you on the path to Hyborem, anyway?
Also, I don't think he needs to do much explaining once he founds AV, Infernal Pact is only one tech away.

It's T38, and Philosophy is 10t away from completion. The capital is about to complete its second workboat, and grow from size 3 to size 4, but I'm already a good way ahead in GNP.
In the sims, I was getting Hyborem between T85-95. Barring a big cockup, this should follow suit.

One tech, which will get the majority of its cost lightbulbed away.
I'd guess the lag between AV being founded and becoming Hyborem will be about 6-8 turns. If someone can completely annihilate me in that timeframe... well ... fair play to them.

When are you planning to build a second city? I assume you haven't built a settler yet.
