It's probably good to post your frustrations in the spoiler thread. There' folks who haven't even sniffed a war yet, maybe your suffering is distorting their peaceful view of the world.
I'll say this though, your efforts have forced Seven to spend a lot of hammers on defense. The could all be a bit more gracious to the team that's keeping Germany distracted. (No spoiler knowledge needed for that logic!)
Also, it you do manage to win, you'd have to win some kind of award for most accurate thread title!

T102 - Not much to say here, troops moved forward to garrison our front cities. It kind of feels like we've lost the initiative in the war. We're still saving gold so that one day we can learn Currency. Seems paradoxical since the gold feels like a form of currency. Maybe we're bartering it, gold nuggets from our casinos for bows, arrows, and pointy sticks.
Out in the world we know nothing of, Sunrise built the Confucian shrine. From the gossip around the diplo thread it sounds like he's working on a monk economy just a bit. Whatever else is happening out there the only thing that has any bearing on us is LP's devouring of whoever he is eating. Since he's our western neighbor that will be a problem eventually. But since we seem to be MackSeven's only neighbor, well, this grudge match was destined from T0. (Sorry Azza, we hardly knew ye).
That makes me think, we should send out a scouting work boat or two if possible. I know it will just die but we don't especially need sailing to build galleys (will have full trade routes next turn now that we have a road to Turning Stone), teching MC is out of the question so no triremes. Our only other option for seafaring exploration is a WB. I know if the HGs have anything in the water they'd kill it, but they're killing everything else we send. I want to at least scout their land to see if their land is as bad as they say it is. If it isn't, guess what screen shot goes into the public diplo thread? If we can't defeat them, we can at least try to vilify them in the court of public opinion. Maybe some time later in the game someone will think back and say, "hey, those guys killed Azza AND complained about perfectly good land. Let's get 'em!"
I'm nominating this for worst post ever. Just pictures from here on out.

Looked over everything, in general it's good. Need a more solid border before we cottage, though, and more farms for the SE before cottaging the capitol. Also, moving stuff towards this area.
Solid border, happy, and good for the economy. Yeah, let's settle this.

Someday, sooner or later, these stacks will get expensive.
The good news, though, is that was have some pretty pacific other neighbors. Friendly HAK's chariot respectfully moved south the next turn as promised. We'll be making that pigs settler next, as good a time for it as any I guess.
In other-border news, check it out...14 hammers of overflow from the granary whip in Turning Stone. That couples with 3 hammers from working non-optimal riverplains, and boom...with stone and Protective, that's a 1-turn wall. Next up, totem pole to try and protect things better plus get the worthwhile second flood plain inside the borders.
Our boldly going somewhere archer found some wondrous deer, so we should totally settle for that sexy 3/1 tile at some point too. Honestly, this land is all so marginal, but it'll be okay if we can develop it for a few dozen turns in peace. Pha!
Good news though, everyone! Our dog soldier killed off the barbarian spearman that had been beelining Mohegan. So the Great Fur Road project may now commence. Foxwoods is going to be what passes for a nice city in this sorry empire.
Still boggles my mind that we're fourth in land area...

Okay Xenu, unless you don't want it, she's yours for the workweek. Mostly, I've been building spears for the SMack border, Libraries at the core, and am now heading towards settlers for the three next sites. The only bit of drama was seeing a hut that SMack was about to be able to pop.
Fortunately, the turn rolled as I was about to go to work this morning, so I popped the bugger. Got an annoyed barb warior, but better to give SMack a little XP than a big tech like, say, Guilds.
They're going to be teching amazingly well either way, of course. Not sure if he's slated for a bulb, settlement, or an Academy, but welcome a new German scientist into the world I guess.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest the capital switch to max hammers to get us a 4-turn settler before returning to cottage-and-scientist mode. We'll need to pick what our own first GS will be doing, now that I think about it. Not sure what would be best...in a perfect world Taoism would be a lovely bulb, but CoL and even Meditation are going to take way too long.
We need more Indian Casino names.

Thanks for the weekend work as always. I think you're playing more of the turns these days than I am, probably not fair to call you ded-lurker with that share of the load. More like a full teammate. I'll take the turns through Friday this week unless it rolls at a time when you're online and it looks like we're in a race for something.
I'll catch up on what's happening here when I can play tonight, it'll probably be close to 9PM my time, 8PM your time before I'm home. If the turn needs playing before then (if it has rolled?) then it's OK if you take it. Just as a heads up, here's where I am for the weekend ahead. We have a moving truck lined up for Saturday so this is moving weekend. We'll be settling into the new house in Florida on Sunday, Monday, and however many days it takes after that. We're supposed to have Internet setup around Monday of next week, with all the caveats that entails (between 8AM and 5PM Monday through Sunday, right?). I can post from my phone so I'll keep you informed on that count. Bottom line is that I'll be reliable for this week and after that...we'll see how long it takes to get Internet service in place.

T108 - What, no fighting? I'm waiting for the hammer to drop. Any time now. Mack, Seven, are you guys there? In all likelihood they won't mount much of an invasion on us. They probably know our clock is ticking and that they can wait us out. They see our GNP graph. They know how bad it is.
We're limping to Currency, looks like we're about 8 to 10 turns away from it. Still saving cash for now. Surely we're not thinking about throwing down more cities?
Well, one thing is for sure. No one is making more land so we better get it while we can. I just hope we don't completely collapse before we get to Currency. And even that isn't a panacea, I don't think internal trade routes alone are going to right the ship. Also, we've noticed that pillage/capture money is getting harder to come by. I guess we can take our nice MFG and convert that into wealth builds in the short term if we have to. Oh, one thing I love in the F1 shot, we have a size 2 city at the happy cap. Commodore has a strong pimp hand. *pimp*
With the cultural buildings in place we should be able to regain control of the hill tile our archer has been guarding, preventing a one move into position to attack. They can still attack us from inside their borders with two movers but this will be a good first step to securing the city better.
