Well this is a useless event for a civ with only 7 cities and no use for building libraries:

Does anyone know what the reward for this is, and does everyone get the quest or is that random too?

Oh, and my spy exploring HG territory got caught so I won't get to see the rest of their land until they kill me and I read their thread. I don't think I can spare another spy to send over there. I just need to build bodies to man the walls. I think I will build another spy and go poison the well in the city Parkin took. I don't care if I can afford to waste the hammers or not.

I think one of the rewards, is that one of your libraries gets +2 (two) science.

Another of the rewards is, if you get an extra free scientist in your Great Library city (but only if you have the Great Library).

apparently, events are random and do not go out to every civ. However, you will lose the event if another civ builds 11 libraries (that doesn't mean they will get the reward, you will just "fail").
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Well it's a given I'll fail the quest in that case. I'll never get back to 11 cities and I'm sure Parkin is close to 11 libraries already. Thanks for the explanation.

Suggestion: let Commodore manage your diplo with S7. You are taking this game way too seriously. Even if his in-game actions are frustrating, and I am certain that they are, he doesn't deserve some of the sharp comments you've delivered. I only say this because I care. alright

...but obviously you don't care about my ulcer. Seven, in his own mind, is a goofy, fun-loving programmer guy, nerdish and fond of puns. From the other end of the interwebs he's...not, let's just say. I actually warned way way back of the consequences of attacking him, the most aggravating of which is...yeah. Like I said. Xenu can engage or no depending on his preferences, although in the interests of keeping spleen healthy and unvented, just ignoring the...commentary might be back.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Eh. I've made Seven the founding member on my ignore list. I'll remove him from it when the game is over. I just have nothing else to discuss with him in this game. If Mackoti wants to talk I'll talk to him.

I can't really disagree with either of you, as you're the ones playing the turns and are much more invested. Personally, I find LP's uber-smugness (how else to term someone who constantly deflects any and all criticism?) and constant rules lawyering of everything much, much worse, but that is just me. I'm glad to hear you'll just play the turns and ignore Seven, though.

Anything of interest on the horizon in-game? Other than, I'm guessing, a heroic Alamo-style last stand? What are your thoughts on whether Seven's commentary (regarding your perceived weakish backline defenses) will encourage Plako or HAK to send units your way?

Mao, looks like you came up snake eyes. :neenernee
