The same thing can be had with the 2nd galley on the north shore, can't it? Like so:

You guys said earlier the islands would probably not participate. Would they be focused more toward infrastructure or expansion? I guess your galleys in the area will need something to do after settling NFC North and bringing over the workers, since it seems unlikely they'd be able to get to the other coast in time for the Nakor war. Fogbusting duty?

Okay that works pindicator. Make sure to move the trailing galley first though.

I took a look at what the free religion spread to Wolverines means for us and if chopping a monument this turn would be worth doing.  Chopping a monument would net us (pun intended!) an extra 6 food over waiting for the golden age and then hiring an artist.  Considering that's 30 hammers "wasted" on a monument, I don't think it is worth it.  The faster granary will probably make up that 6 food and then some.

My guess is they'll be plenty busy shuttling workers, settlers and units. But maybe we can look at how long it would take to move our galley south along azza to get to the west coast

That seems to suggest some level of continued island-destined settler/worker/unit production at the mainland, since it doesn't seem likely that Big East island will be able to put 2-3 galleys to use full-time by itself just yet. Which is fine, just trying to get a mental picture of how continued island-oriented expansion is likely to go. smile

worker shuffling can be a galley's full time job. Read Pin's pbem on an archipelago map to see what I mean.

can't rememeber that game number, but it was well reported all around.

edit: PBEM 26. Read 'em all!

I think we can get some settler production out of Valiants and Boilermakers. It's also possible that we go the other way with things and try to get some military out of those two cities shuttled to the mainland.

Oh, yes, I'm sure you can, I just didn't think it would be enough to fully occupy 4-move galleys without an extra few units from the mainland to go along with. But I guess we'll see how things go. smile

Ask and ye shall receive:

1) Turn off auto unit cycling in the options menu.
2) Shift + Click on the unit icon (circled in yellow) at the bottom of the main screen (as if you were deselecting a unit in the stack)
3) Profit.

Thanks to Ellimist and Mardoc for very, very patiently explaining to me how to do the above during the EITB PB. smile
