There wasn't much decision making this turn. I started a galley in Bulldogs. That's about it.

That's dtay topping to GNP charts. Food is a toss-up between mackoti and ichabod. Ichabod has some amazing demos right now, and I will grab screenshots of the charts soon to show you what I mean. We're going to keep some EP into Ichabod until we hit 43 points and then we'll swap all our EP to plako and then dtay after.

Speaking of dtay, I'm pretty sure he just got Music when I ended turn:



The GNP also shot up to 342 for tops, so he must be queuing up his techs.

Two turns in two hours! What craziness is this?



We have finally met Fintourist.



He has many cities



He has many interesting relationships

I also offered trades to swap world maps and for open borders.

Also, Noble was right about there being a seafood in the fog by NFC North island.



That city is going to be amazing

Might want to keep the archer 1SE of city B. That fog busts the remaining tile on the island. And the city is not under direct threat since it can't be boated from the east.

Turn 124 is up. I took a look and we had a counter-offer from Fintourist:



I didn't accept it at first, but after I looked at our cities, we still have +15cpt to gain from foreign trade. Actually, add another +4 from the two cities we're about to plant. So 70g may very well be worth it. Also, we can finish Civil Service at breakeven so no worries about that.

I didn't check if he took the resource trade or not.

May I ask how you interpret 70g for OB? I know what gpt for OB means, but not a lump sum, or why you would do lump sums.

I don't know why they asked for a lump sum rather than gpt, guessing they have need of it now. Anyway, to me 40g lump sum is basically 4gpt except a little bit worse since 1g now is worth more than 1g 10T from now. That's how I interpret it, anyway. In this case it doesn't slow down CS, and we were going to save for a bit after that anyway, so I don't think it's a major harm.

Duh, yes I understand that. However:

1) They are not going to declare war immediately and pocket the money. If they do that, we'll pillage all their seafood with our 4 move galley that, wouldn't you know it, is right by their borders. Then we'll spite them later with 6 move Galleons if I could talk pindicator into it.

2) Yes 4gpt goes beyond 10T if not cancelled, but we would probably cancel it after that. In 10T we're likely to have more people who we can sign OB with (as more people tech alphabet), so the need to pay for trade routes will become less.
