Turn 90

We got vision on Arretium. 2 pop, no buildings, Chariot garrison. There is also another chariot in the jungle south of the quechua.

EggHeads have 2 axes, 2 chariots and a spear protecting their border city.

Rival Best Soldiers have gone from 105k (T88), to 118k (T89) to 126k (T90). I think that is them getting their first praet on T89 and their second on T90. I think we should be just fine. We have visibility on 4 of their 6 cities, as well as vision on their graphs and research and a good sentry net. We're definitely not going to be caught off guard.

More anti-Rome diplo:

DMOC of Team EggHeads Wrote:Hey guys,

I take it that at this point, the three teams among us all agree to a defensive pact against Rome, effective until turn 130? (I'm just throwing that out as a ballpark date; feel free to revise.) If we could all confirm to this, that would be great.

At some point, we should let Rome know this to act as a deterrent. Since they don't seem to check the forums, let's send them a message in-game by clicking on their name and writing something in the text box (this would also keep our defensive pact a secret from India). I propose that on turn 95, we all write this message to them:

"The Teams of Byzantium, Inca, and English are forming a three-way defensive pact. Thus, a declaration of war towards one of our teams is equivalent to declaring war on all three of us."

Let me know what you think. We don't have that much time left, now that Rome is sure to start building their military. We're getting walls and axes up to our border area as we speak.

To recap:

1. Defensive Pact until turn 130
2. Should Rome declare war on one of us, all three teams should make their best effort to weaken Rome and to assist allies in need.
3. Send a message to Rome ingame on turn 95.
4. (Highly, highly recommended.) One of us contacts Asterix to tell Rome to target India. And yes, The Pyramids city is close to their border.

Sincerely,

DMOC

Team Blame Caledorn also accepts these rules:

1. Defensive Pact (against Rome) until T130.
2. Should Rome declare war on one of us, all three teams should make their best effort to weaken Rome and to assist allies in need.
3. Send an ingame message to Rome on T95.
4. Team Blame Caledorn takes responsibility for asking Asterix to tell Rome to target India, and also confirm to Asterix that the Pyramids are close to the Roman border as an added incentive for the Romans to target the Indians.

Dinos: We would appreciate you showing us the way to the Indian border, so just assign a unit that we should follow (or give us a path you wish us to follow from his current position, using numeral moves - for instance 9-9-8 equals NE-NE-N). We assume your units will keep a close eye on the area where our quechua near your border is currently located, so our scout there is superfluous for the time being. For the record, we would like to defog a last tile on the coast there before we're ready to move, and we would also need open borders with you if we are to travel through your lands of course.

Ok guys, we need to figure out what we're doing with our next city placements. Here's our dotmap from way back when:

We ended up planting "6" and "7", then "13" one tile south.

Our next settler was just whipped out of Gov't Shutdown and will complete next turn:

I had talked about using it to settle 2 west of the plains hill sheep. But our allies EggHeads and Dinos keep urging us to plant to our east:

Our next settler will come from Server Problems, probably 3-pop whipped in a couple turns. What do you guys think about the snow hill with the "Roman Chariot T80" sign? I'm also considering 1 south or 1 southeast of the hill. That is what EggHeads are pushing for. Or, we could send it to settle the cows / copper in the south. That is what the dinos are asking for. A city down there seems weaker to me then the northern option.

Alternatively, we could ignore our allies, and take the "8" spot for horses and deer, the "9" spot for dyes and horses, or the "12" spot for furs. Or someplace completely different. What do you guys think? We need to figure this out now to get our workers in place to improve the new cities.

Even more importantly, we need more ideas of things that are Caledorn's fault that we can name these cities!

Message from Dinosaurs to us and EggHeads:

Dinosaurs Wrote:Hello Everyone!
Thanks for screenshots..
We should exchange screenshots to check Rome Power.
We propose to analize Rome power.
On turn 90 - 126 K

Baracks - 3K x 3 or 4 = 9 K or 12 K
Char - 2 of side of West Rome- Dinos
We saw 3 Char where Rome founded Ravenna - 86 / 87 turn - dinos
Char - Team BC - 2
Char - Team EGGH ??
Pret - 8K - ?? maybe 2
Char - 4 K = 5 Char =20 K

Tech:
Wheel - 4K
BW - 8 K
IW - 10 K
AH - 2K
hunt -2K
26 K -tech

Pop -
Neapolis - 4
Arretium 2
Ravenna 1
Cumae - 3-4
Antium - 3-4
Rome - 4-5

If I am wrong please correct me.

Team BC

Your Quechua's would go to India border for 10-15 turns. ...He have to go near roman border City o Ravenna and Their Chariots too. We propose to wait for galley ...That I think it is the quickest method to return home.
It' s up to You.
We propose to OB for both team of Pact of Musketeers.

DT Team

We had an OB offer from them when I opened the turn. I accepted it of course.

As for the power breakdown.

I think GG has 4 barracks for 12k power
Antium is size 4. If we assume 4 for Cumae and 5 for Rome, they have 20 pop for 10k power
Dinosaurs forgot to count Mining tech, which GG started with, giving a total of 28k power

That is a total of 50k power so far, leaving them with 76k power in units.

They get 2k for each warrior, 4k for each chariot, and 8k for each praetorian. Based on the graphs, they should have 3 praets for 24k. We have spotted 3 chariots by Ravenna, 2 by Arretium, 1 in Antium and 1 east of Neapolis, for 28k. That leaves 24k power that has not been located. That is probably about 6 warriors and another 3 chariots.

I'd plant on the snow hill if you can pop the borders quick. But not with a settler from the other side of the empire... Otherwise that area is just nasty.

BTW, alt-f and alt-i are good for stitching maps together after you finish turn and don't have any units selected.

Right, the settler out of Gov't Shutdown is going south to settle the plains hill sheep. The next settler after that will come from Server Problems. That is the one that I am thinking could go on the ice hill, which can probably get the terrace chopped the same turn we plant it. We could 3-pop whip the settler to get it out as early as T95, but I think we might want to delay a little bit. When I logged in this turn (T92), we were getting 5 gold at 0% research. I adjusted some tiles so we're now getting 12 gold. We're in 9th place for GNP, with only the Romans behind us (they turned on research and will get Maths in 4 turns, btw). So, I really think we need to start focusing more on our economy crazyeye

I've been using alt-i to stitch together the Roman composite pictures. What does alt-f do?

I sent this to Asterix just now:

Blame Caledorn Wrote:Hi Asterix,

England, Byzantium and our team will be informing the Romans shortly that if they DOW any one us, we will consider it equivalent to declaring war on all three of us. Since you seem to be the only team that Rome is actually responding to, we would greatly appreciate it if you urge them to send their attention against India. Could you let them know that if they were to do that, England, Byzantium, and our team would be happy to sign NAPs with them so they can focus on India for maximum gains.

Thanks for your help!

Yossa

It's getting late, so I'll post the T92 report later.

Two mails in our diplomacy account.

From Arkipeller/Orgy (after a brief chat with him on Facebook which was in Norwegian - this mail sums up what we talked about):

Quote:Dear Yossa and Caledorn.
After conversations with the Diplomat, Caledorn, I propose the following NAP:

The Blame Orgynized -tractate
1. Both Parts is signing a Non Agressional Pact, this means signing up for not waging war vs another.
2. Both barts limits the Espionage usage to 50 ESP vs each other, until further decitions are made.
3.1 Both Parts agrees to have Open Borders through the whole NAP
3.2 Both parts has agreed to let units through lands for scouting
3.3 Both lands has agreed to not reveal information of scouted lands to any other player besides mentioned in team roosters of Orgynized and Blame Caledorn.
4. Embargos: Team Blame Caledorn agrees to embargo India, this means not having Open Borders with them and refuse making deals.
5: Embargos: Team Orgynized agrees to embargo Rome (or other nation Blame Caledorn require), this means not having Open Borders with them and refuse making deals.
6. Team Orgynized binds itself to spread a religion as fast as possible to Blame Caledorn as fast as possible, after turn 98.
7. Both teams try to cooperate to increase happiness in both countries, for mutual prosperity. By this meaning that is excess resourses is tradable, a dialog between teams should be engaged.
8: Both parts is signing this NAP to last until T140, with renegotiations approximately at T130.
9. No parts of this agreement is discussed with other teams after signed NAP

Does this sounds acceptable?

Arkipeller

And from Dinos to the Anti-Rome alliance:

Quote:HI guys!
Yossarian could you send screenshots of Roman forces.
Rome doesn't whip any more on turn 92.
So we wait for answer of Asterix?
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"
