RBP3: Joao of Inca [SPOILERS]

Looking at this again, I think by intuition we're better off settling 1N.

It was just meant to be agreeable. Reading through again I realized I hadn't actually stated my opinion. Kalin had already suggested it, you had voiced your opinion to agree. I wanted to 3rd it so to speak.

Nice pic by the way lol

Considering the time left to play the turn unless I play like right this moment, I will only have 1 more shot at playing the turn before it rolls over. Shall we settle in place or 1N? If we don't hear from Nakor I'll settle 1N.

Nakor if you get a chance to chime in feel free to play the turn as well (or anybody else for that matter).

I settled JANK food 1N.
We've got SILVER east of the sheep in the JUNGLE!

Quecha and mining.

Let's see what happens now...

Wait, uh, mining? So no religions then? I don't think we quite finished that discussion in those emails. Anyway I think it'd be worth a shot to go for a religion, but might be too late for early ones now that the turn will roll over. Maybe we'll pick up another on the way through the tree smile

BTW if we can research AH already (we start with mysticism and... ?) then we might want to do that. Sheeps > Rice. Though that rice is a good substitute if the plan is to go with mining+bw.

I thought Kalin and Athlete had made a very valid point about going Mining - BW.
AH can go after that, but since we don't start with a worker, I think we have some time.

If you guys think otherwise, we can still change it before the turn really changes, but I'd stick to mining.

Hi Guys,

Well we're committed to mining now, so we'll reevaluate techs after that point. Tentatively speaking though I think we're better off with going BW before AH. Anyways onto more pressing matters. Here's our great capital:

Now where do we move the Quecha? My vote is to go SW, and then again SW. What do you guys think?

Settling 1N was not much better, but at least not worse: we got a riverside grassland and a grass hill, but we "lost" 2 forests. That silver in the jungle is ... sigh ... kind of useless. It will take a long while until we'll be able to mine it. I also suspect that for balancing reasons all teams have a similar resource in the jungle, which would force them to go IW. Let's hope we are not next to Rome smile

Research-wise, I think we should go Mining-BW-AH-Wheel-Pottery. To fully leverage our traits we have to chop the first workers/settlers asap. Also, this research reveals the strategic resources! We should claim horse/copper as first priority, the rest can wait. If we do that and another team "steals" a good spot from us, we'll have the means to take it back smile

Here's a suggested plan:

* Until T6 work rice 3F1C, food bar at 18/22

* T7-8 work sheep 2F1H1C, grow to size 2, have quechua at 10/15H

* T9 work sheep and plains forest hill for 5H to get quechua out on T10

* T10-19 switch to worker

Regarding scouting I agree with Athlete: SW-SW seems the best choice. We have to decide if we want to go depth-first with the first quechua, or explore in a circle to reveal the land around the capital. Based on RBP1 where we didn
t have horses close (actually they were so far I can say we didn't have horses), and we missed them, I am tempted to suggest to explore in a circle around the capital to find good spots for cities. That is because we'll probably expand very fast and we need to know where smile

Let me know your thoughts.

Kalin

EDIT: I called our first quechua Sausage smile Let's hope he won't become animal food lol Feel free to change it.
