Settling 1N was not much better, but at least not worse: we got a riverside grassland and a grass hill, but we "lost" 2 forests. That silver in the jungle is ... sigh ... kind of useless. It will take a long while until we'll be able to mine it. I also suspect that for balancing reasons all teams have a similar resource in the jungle, which would force them to go IW. Let's hope we are not next to Rome
Research-wise, I think we should go Mining-BW-AH-Wheel-Pottery. To fully leverage our traits we have to chop the first workers/settlers asap. Also, this research reveals the strategic resources! We should claim horse/copper as first priority, the rest can wait. If we do that and another team "steals" a good spot from us, we'll have the means to take it back
Here's a suggested plan:
* Until T6 work rice 3F1C, food bar at 18/22
* T7-8 work sheep 2F1H1C, grow to size 2, have quechua at 10/15H
* T9 work sheep and plains forest hill for 5H to get quechua out on T10
* T10-19 switch to worker
Regarding scouting I agree with Athlete: SW-SW seems the best choice. We have to decide if we want to go depth-first with the first quechua, or explore in a circle to reveal the land around the capital. Based on RBP1 where we didn
t have horses close (actually they were so far I can say we didn't have horses), and we missed them, I am tempted to suggest to explore in a circle around the capital to find good spots for cities. That is because we'll probably expand very fast and we need to know where
Let me know your thoughts.

EDIT: I called our first quechua Sausage

Let's hope he won't become animal food

Feel free to change it.
