I mean, seriously, what good has ever come from wearing them? We should all go back to wearing kilts. Or I guess those of you less ethnically advantaged can go back to robes, togas, loincloths, modesty gourds, tunics, or buckskins. What I guess I'm saying is that there isn't a lot for me to say right now about my PBEM. Come back in like five turns, that's when the Turkish Peace runs out. Finally, my beautiful barbarians are at their right and proper borders. Now let's pour over them.

I'm just going to leave this right here.
This would be crippling were it not for Vassalage.

You know what's silly? No Guilds yet even. These guys are all walking!

I opened the save this turn to an interesting offer; it seems Flugauto's growth kick has gone in unhealthy directions. After a bit of consideration, I accepted; with all those floodplains I'm sure he's gaining many foods per turn, but I could use the cash and it's nice to be needed. Between the critical health bonus going to England and the strategic war elephant enabler going to Japan, it looks like the Southrons are content to be peaceful.
Being a fixer is fun! And of course yeah I basically just said Darius of England gets to make it to the Ren Era. Wetbandit, meanwhile, researched or bulbed himself...Philosophy? Nice, basically the other three are just kind of chilling and telling the barbarians “it's cool, go eat yourself some tasty Turkey, dogpiles give us fleas so just run rampant over there”. Which I guess is a cool message. I like it! ![]() Nicely polyglot religious tapestry over there in Azteca, too. Meanwhile, my economy has improved enough that I can...four turn Guilds! When, you know, I have enough gold to do the burn. It's cool, you guys, I'm about to build mass-wealth and then get KATANA KNIGHTS. I love the East Asian unit graphicset. Not just “this ain't Ottawa”. This ain't Thales, Aquilonia, or even Congress.

You know how I was checking on Guilds speed? Well, it got sped up a bit more...someone is giving me KTB.
Suspect it's Mr. Can't See His Graphs, Yuri. So of all the dudes to get Guilds, he's the best for me but still...need to shift some heavier crap down to the Moai, at the very least. I'll admit to feeling some level of SCREAMING PANIC at the fact that he is updating...This just further solidifies my feeling that the barbarians' destiny in PBEM 64 lies in conquest of the north. Yuri is doing very well, and Flugauto isn't exactly asleep at the wheel either. Behold, therefore, the Trident of Destiny: ![]() Yeah, I know. It's not a very good trident. But it's some very very good destiny, with LT kind of in muddle-mode after building the Colossus and Wetbandit finishing up his golden age with a revolt in Pacifism and Caste. Basically, I'm going to hit the Aztecs with a vast one-mover stack in two turns, chucklenaughts as the backbone, and while they go waddling towards the Pyramids back home a solid 15-20 knight stack gets whipped out for crushing the Ottomen. Both Flugauto and Yuri are to be encouraged, nay, cajoled, into picking up jungle-belt gains. Then...we see.
