RBP3: Joao of Inca [SPOILERS]

Found gold north! And lots of desert banghead Btw we can make a new quecha in just three turns so I wouldn't be too worried if someone finds our lands.

Agree with you all!
Le't's scout now. Another Quecha after the worker should keep us safe enough!

Ok, great point. I somehow forgot that we are at size 2, so quechua in 3 turns should be enough defense. Well, then let's boldly go where no man has gone before.

Gold sounds nice... Any food around it? There's nothing like gold to fuel early research. However, our first priority should remain on strategic resources. Just like in RBP2, if someone settles "your" gold, make sure you have copper/horses to take it back smile

It's interesting how after we discussed that we have to be careful about our capital defense, we just learned that Korea will be eliminated. It sounds like Korea went worker first (hence the debate) while doing deep exploration with the initial warrior. They will be destroyed on T12-13 so that's probably the distance between capitals.

I want us to reassess if a warrior could appear and reach our capital in 2 turns. Keep in mind that unless we are last in turn a team could move after us. If we can be destroyed, then as painful as it may be we have to either: (1) keep a quechua close, or (2) put 1T at 5H into another quechua at the capital. I really don't want us to be eliminated so early!

Team members, please post opinions.

For future reference: I am not 100% sure who's going to eliminate Korea, but I suspect Krill/Ghandi of Egypt smile given Ruff's screenshot of civstats.

Actually it's almost sure Krill:

Sigh, as if he needed any extra advantage smile

I still feel we should send both deep once we've got our initial territory scouted out. I want to take some type of risk. After being involved in such a focused game I want to play a bit loose and relaxed. With most going worker first we do have a slight disadvantage there but everybody know's we've gone quecha first and as such will probably not attack.
Played in:
RBPB2 - Willem of Ottoman - 6th/10
RBPB3 - Joao of Inca 13th/17 or so???
PBEM6 - Shaka of the Vikings 2nd/5 (thanks Lewwyn)

Ok noted, but we should be aware that the risk here is the "whole game". Later on, we may lose a worker, a settler, a city, whatever, but we are unlucky right now we'll be lurking smile

They could only reach our capital in 2 turns with a double-move.. While I'm not sure if it's against the rules (don't really read that stuff, it's annoying) but it's surely against bad faith. I don't mind putting some hammers on another quecha if you want to do that.

Krill with free extra land eh? This will be an interesting game.

More desert north. I didn't move Sausage yet.. We might want to adjust our plans a bit. Now that we know that most (all?) started with a worker, I think we should move a bit more south with Sausage. He's already 7S and 3E of our starting location. Considering how soon Krill was able to find Korea, there might be someone near. I think it's worth a shot to find out if someone's just south of Sausage. Just checking with you guys first, he remains unmoved.

I think we can gamble almost safely with scouting.
If you really feel we need more protection, then just build another Quecha before the worker. We'll still do fine then.

I think Sausage should move anti-clockwise to uncover all the nearby land before going deeper. That way we can still keep building the worker and feel relatively safe.
