I like that thought, especially as the scout just uncovered some marble (pictures tonight).

And you have 16 forests in the current capital BFC + two calendar resources...

Turn 4
Interesting back-line (Maoi?) city site in the west. Desolation up north.
And an awful lot of floodplains to the east... I count seven for the desert hill 1N of the cow. I'm thinking NW-NE next turn as I want to explore sites around the sheep before the worker has to start roading.

So tempting marble wonders are
- Priesthood: the Oracle,
- Aesthetics: Parthenon (maybe?),
- Literature: TGLib, Heroic Epic and National Epic
- Calendar: MoM
I doubt we'll want Zigs in play early enough to justify an Oracle attempt if we're not that interested in religion.
If we go for Mining->BW->Hunting->Pottery->AH->Writing->Maths->Calendar that's 1650 beakers and a fairly direct path (might even be feasible to skip AH). After that Aesthetics/Lit isn't that far, SoZ and TGLib are both attractive wonders.

Yeah, just expand, beeline Calendar and be sucessfull in ignoring other options temptations. This start with spices/marble/floods is just perfect for such an opening.
You forgot about Masonry.

Forgot Fishing and Sailing too... Let's call it 2000 beakers then.

Depends on copper and neighbours. If I'm happy with both then skipping saves ~110 beakers, since getting it before Writing would give a discount. I'm also wondering if Fishing (59) should go before Pottery (119) to cut another 20% from the cost, or do we need to get cottages down and granaries up ASAP? We'll know more with the next few turn's exploration...

I think he forgot some key advice..
Check your settings... OK, we're good on that one, thanks.
Kill your neighbors!... Horses often help?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! I suppose waddling stacks will do if you have no horses, but the blood takes longer to harvest going along one tile at a time. Are you sure that's what the Blood God demands from you?

Horses delayed are horses denied? I can assure you there will be blood, and the Blood God will be satisfied, but this seems like mountainous terrain - perhaps we'll be looking at a Guerrilla II army...
