From the top of my head, monarchy (1t left), vassalage, machinery (I can bulb 1080b from the needed ~1200b) and guilds. Plus IW and HBR for the actual Phracts. I'd also include construction in the "must" list, because catapults are important.
I also have another GP coming in a little less than 20t, which will be a Golden Age. It can help the teching + adopting vassalage (2 promos on the horses would be nice) + actually producing the units.
Overall I have 2 forges already, with 2 more being built. Some select few cities will have them, but most cities will grow on cottages/farms to be whipped. The happiness situation frightens me a bit, though. No wonder I had such a big fight with AT for the Rat King.
Interesting to note that I'll reach Guilds later than on PB27, without nearly as many detours and even considering the boost I've got from Oracle. But that map had more happy resources all around and all players were more developed too, so the relative impact of my guilds timing here will he higher, I think. Either that or I'm deluding myself with wishful thinking.
It's a long slog, but you don't always need cata for the phractagedden! But then again I never bring enough siege to an assault so perhaps don't listen to me. I find it a difficult balance between waiting for the cats to catch up and pressing ahead in the war ASAP.

Haha - if REM and Bob can post up a storm over the next twenty turns Jowy is going to have horrible pbem 67(?) flashbacks...
Is he going to have a unit that beats your 'phracts when sitting behind walls?

61. Admittedly they are str 11 not 12 now, but even with that a combat 1 spear on a hill behind walls fully fortified, you would still have odds on him with a c2 phract.

Good point, REM, and it's something I need to consider. It felt natural to bring siege against Jowy because his Capital is so close to my borders and on a hill. So, if he mounts a defence there, breaking it only with Phracts can be costly (also considering that I'm not confident I can produce too many of them too fast); at the same time, he has to defend at his Capital, because abandoning it would be a big hit. If I can get a very favourable hammer trade with Catapults that way, I think the rest of the conquest would be easier.
By the way, I wish I could have a GArtist to bomb Jowy's captured Capital. His land has very low culture, so that would give me a lot of space to work with, + take the city out of revolt. But I don't have the needed slots, and I won't tech CoL just for it.
But the thing is, I haven't even decided if I want to attack Jowy. Jowy has a lot of cities with his EXP/IMP combo, and I'm sure he can use that for a big army, even filled with ancient units. At the same time, if he gets longbows, pikes or maces, I could be in trouble...
Molach is a lot softer, with less cities. But he has ivory. And he's far away, a long slog to get there even only with Phract army...
Finally, AT would be the bigger prize, giving me the TGLh. He has a good economy, though, and quite a lot of cities, with culture and protective units (he's CRE/PRO). And he's also further away from my core. My current map knowledge leads me to believe he has too much easy land for himself, but I'm probably missing a neighbour somewhere. We have border tensions, and I'd like to fix that, so that's a plus! I need to watch his tech progression closely. If he insists on going for shiny prizes, he may leave me a gap to use uncontested Phracts for long enough to make any future tech discoveries meaningless.
Overall, none of my options feel good.

Or maybe all options are too good and you cant decide? Everyone wants to pass through army of warriors but phracts are not made from glass too...

Yes, you are right. I expressed myself poorly there, I meant to say none of my options feel particularly better than the others. If they were so poor, I'd have trouble justifying why on earth I'm beelining Guilds - I should go for a different approach instead.
Anyway, the only way for me to win this game is getting a big chunk of land through a war and there's no better time than with Phracts. I can't beat Gawdzak in the empire management game, so I need to have more land than he has.
By the way, my initital level of casualness predictions seem to be doing pretty well. I was right about Mr. Cairo and Gawdzak, from the top of my head.

This one made me really happy, not sure why. Probably the first time I've got 12 wins with druid, but that's not all. There were a lot of close games, decided in topdecks, and the deck could be pretty clunky, but I managed to draw well. Even beat a guy that topdecked deathwing (without having removal, but topdecking swipe after he got a taunt from the deathlord I played to avoind deathwing letal - I think the deathwing stayed like 3 turns on the board, but I managed to put a lot of taunts and kill the guy after he spammed emotes in my face).

Finally I can grow my cities again!
Lighthouse first, archers afterwards. I'll take back the sheep and work coasts to grow here. I'll work on workshopping/mining (with IW) this city, so I can turn back to full production when I can build Phracts.
Finally I'll be able to properly use all this food. I'll grow on mines for a bit (when I improve them) to get a library. But I think this city wants loads of cottages.
New city.
This axe movement is suspicious. If Jowy settles here, I basically set him as my target. This is a crazy plant. Impossible to defend, he'll just develop the city for me...
Jowy's land, for reference.
I consider the barb city to be mine, I'm just not taking it yet because I can't even improve its food properly. If I can get two more cities on this land, I'll be really, really happy. We'll see what happens. I have a lot of competing priorities, overall.
