War Turnplayer Volunteering Thread

Since Sullla has raised the issue of not wanting to suffer through the upcoming war turns, I think its a good idea to make a thread to discuss the issue of getting some volunteers to spread the load since we can't and don't want to force people to play this game.

I'm thinking that the responsibilities would include...

Required:
1) Actually logging in to play the turn(duh)

Preferable:
1) Streaming the war turns (I'm sure I could scrounge up a tutorial as its not that difficult, you could probably put it as a skill on a resume these days)
2) Be able to scan the forum after they play to update the micro and be available to log on and change builds after the initial play to update the micro

We could of course have different people doing the war turn and adjusting the micro afterwards and etc and it wouldn't have to be consecutive turns.

No, I really don't have much interest in the grinding bloodbath that's upcoming in the next few turns.

I'll get to the current turn tomorrow morning. I still want to reiterate: I really do not want to play these turns.

Ok, so from this I gather Sullla really is looking for a break And, sadly no skilled and thick-skinned player has stepped up.

Given that, I'm volunteering to be a 'turn coordinator' if no better option presents itself. I know I'm not in the top tier of micro ability on the site (as has been pointed out to me recently), but I don't want to sit back and watch the team be aimless or with a turnplayer forced into the role.

Obviously there's no changing a team's culture overnight, but if I'm playing turns I plan on trying to be as welcoming as possible to opinions from the team, but I also hope for a two-way street where more members are willing to invest some constructive effort into seeing us through the present crisis.

I think if we stream most turns, then we'll be able to distribute the decision making much more. It seems like the main things we'll need in a set up is someone who has 3 hours every 2 or 3 days to sit around moderating chat, occasionally actually playing the game.

Asm, that level of time commitment is probably about right for a normal pitboss game. I am certain that Sulla has been putting in MUCH more time than that. The turn reports alone probably consume at least an hour. I say this as much to thank Sulla for his hard work as to encourage more people to step up.

It would be great if we could end up with a 3 or 4 person rotation to take turns on this.

I think sunrise would be ideal as a turnplayer if Sullla isn't up for it anymore (which I certainly understand).

Given the state of the game, micro is less important than macro decisions right now.

I might be wiling to play some of the turns. Do you not want to play them when war starts or the turns leading up to the war?

I think Lewwyn and sunrise would both be great (at war turns especially), so I have no objections.
