It just was announced that fall patch is incoming: https://civilization.com/news/entries#re...017-update

What to do? start game anyways or wait for patch? (I don't mind either option)

Any new patch might possibly screw up ongoing game due little changes for example trouble with ceding cities in PBEM 4 which caused it come to stop for now.

To be frank I don't exactly trust this game to be stable, so I figure makes more sense to wait for the patch to land. When is it due?

If you are waiting, probably best to have me re-generate the starting save once the patch comes out (I've heard in another thread that some things in the patches are only partially implemented in existing games). Someone can PM me if I don't see this thread.

Map would stay the same and you would all have the same starting locations, just re-generate the starting save.
