I forgot horsemen require HBR. I forgot I need a city to be at 4 pop to plant a second district. I forgot that districts can be pillaged by barbs.
Honestly, I'm a tool in this game.

Yeah, you may have me beat after all.
Oh well, shit happens, especially if you aren't familiar with the game. How do we go from here? Warrior spam and archers sounds like a good bet if you still want to conquer some city states

Oh yeah, I have most people beaten for stupidity in this game.
I'm happy with the idea that I will fumble along and then die to someone a tech era ahead of me. Since starting this game I've found that I can fit a game in around work now, with no real issues, but I've got other stuff with buying a new house that has occurred somewhat unexpectedly that is eating up more time than I could ever have expected. Just one of those RL things.
So I'm going to build warriors, kill Bandar and Kumasi, head for Horsemen and try to roll over Emperor K. Still growing city 2 to size 4 and a campus, still heading for the second religion, as barb horsemen pillaged the capital holy site and promptly died to my mass of units, and no need for further builders or settelrs if I'm capturing those cities and I lack amenities for a short while.

I'm doing no planning for this game, not tracking anything. Don't have the time. But by god Ichabod, accept the gift of sugar and a DoF, or I'm spending what little time I have in this game on fucking you about.

And to be clear, I am regretting starting this game. I did fuck up, and should have recognised that there is too much in my personal life at present to allow me to time to focus on a game. Work is easy though, so in future I'll be fine, but right now buying and selling houses takes up most of my free time.

Ichabod backed off. Probably comes back with a GG but I've gifted him Sugar and accepted his offer of 3gpt for coffee.
I'm just going to continue sitting in the sandpit eating.

How are you compared to other people right now? And is there any chance of conquering Kumasi still or do you need to keep troops close by in case Ichabod returns?
Looks like you got Bandar right in time though; he was probably trying to do the same thing with that force

I'll try to put out a report together now. I'm off tomorrow and going away over the weekend, but I've got a window of free time because I was planning to be spending free time cleaning my new house and moving, but that's being pushed back til early June due to lazy sellers. I've been winging this game, 30 second turns, not even 5 minutes. I'm lucky that Ichabod backed off (or rather, accepted being bought off) because I just want to play in this sandbox and I do lack the time to fight against someone with DotF.
Here is the overview. I've got a settler out to settle on the tea, I think I'll buy a monument again as I need tiles to put down districts. I've just this turn gotten Suzerainity of Zanzibar, so amenities are fantastic. I'm slow to "three" cities, but then I have got 5 archers, 2 slingers and 5 warriors running around. I did get barbwacked earlier as well which is one reason for a slow down, but I could probably have played this better by buying the second horse tile earlier and making a builder at Yokohama instead of most of a granary and some military. if I had done that, Could have gotten into Maneuver with a horseman out and Bandar would not have been at risk. So in general I think the strategy employed can work, but I fucked it up because I've not been able to focus on this game.
The stats are quite interesting.
Science: Russia 9, 19.5. Germany 9, 11.4. Rome (unknown). Japan 8, 11.7. Arabia 5, 14.4.
Culture: Russia 8, 15.1, Rome 8, (unknown). Arabia 8, 10.4. Germany 5, 5.7. Japan 6, 14.6 (Mil Trad 1 turn from completion, Myst inspired but not researched)
Power: Russia 243, Japan 232, Germany 117, Rome (unknown) Arabia 78.
Religion: Russia 13.6, Japan 5.4, Rome (unknown), Arabia 1, Germany 1.
Cities: Russia, 4 (unknown, 4, 3, 4). Japan (4, 4, 5) Arabia (unknown, 4, 2). Germany (unknown, 3, 1). Rome unknown
Basically Ichabod did something to blow everyone else out of the water. I'm convinced that early religion breaks things, but frankly Russia isn't a slouch. But his two swords are a third of his strength and he will have to build the rest of his swords now, so I'm not really bothered by him now he has backed off.
My plan is now straight forward. Research Mil Trad T56, hook the second horse tile T57 (I bought it a few turns ago) and swap into Maneuver and work production tiles for 28 production per turn into horsemen in Kyoto. Build 2 horsemen (eot59 and eot62) then back to the settler. Take Kumasi. Yokohama finishes the campus then finishes a granary. Bandar repairs the granary and then builds a settler. That should get me to 7 cities. Then back to district shenanigans with a plan for Iikum workers into Serfdom, but probably need 3 builders before that.
I agree that I just about took Bandar in time. I also think Ichabod could have taken it. I am not sure if he could have held it, and it would probably have been the decision that lost him the game because he is fighting Bacchus and Rowain at present. Fighting me as well just means he will lose somewhere, but he has the power to win against the other two. But attacking into Bandar with DotF? Ouch.
OTOH, Arabia needs to buck up:

T60 overview screenshots.
I'm building horsemen in Yokohama, Kyoto and Bandar. The horsemen in the latter two will complete whilst in Maneuver.
This is my current plan for the "Jovian System" a la Oledavy in PBEM4. I need to buy the tile for the CD on T62 (just about enough gold for that), and I've delayed the horseman in Kyoto so I will chop through the horseman to get most, or maybe even all, of the CD complete with just the chop. I only have the Campus and HS unlocked, so I need to complete Currency (1 turn from completion) on eot61. That gives me a completed Campus, 2HS and 1 CD. I will delay Drama and Poetry for a turn or two, and then I will complete that and head onto Recorded History.
When I complete D&P I will revolt into Urban Planning, Colonization, Diplomatic League and Conscription (and let it be known, I should have gone with Autocracy, in fact there is a good argument I should cut my losses and give up the current Government at the next swap anyway).
Bandar needs 5 turns to complete a Campus, but Yokohama and Kyoto can go onto settlers straight away. Yokohama is going to leave the horseman in the queue close to completion in case I need it, but I'm hopeful I can save it for a future chop at 75% when I have more builders.
I've not looked at this except to hold my breath that someone hasn't landed Henge and fucked me over. Again.
tl;dr is that Ichabod has somehow gotten a GP, GG, Great Writer, 25 science per turn and 19 culture per turn and the highest power in the game. I'm in second place with decent stats but I don't know, I'm not going to attack into DotF with 3 horsemen and a bunch of archers when I've gotten Bandar, not without consolidation and two rams.
It's quite easy to see that Ichabod could roll over Rowain or Bacchus and then I reckon this game could be called before T100. Not that I want to stop playing, but it is possible to see that outcome.
