I thought I can only either make my choice or reroll everything. I think we need to decide on exact rules somehow.

I think it's either make a choice with what you've rolled, or reroll everything. Up to two rerolls.
Nobody has to make their choice before starts are shown, though, this is letting us think through things, no rushing needed.

PB 59 had independent reroll of civ and leader is all I can contribute.
How random is the map supposed to be with respect to strategic resources? I would much appreciate everyone having access to at least the first three. To the folks from civforum, a heads up / reminder that by our house rules spectators should not give game related advice (the exception are answers to rules/mechanics questions from the players), unless they exclusively follow your thread, which makes them part of the team. edit: also which mod version are we playing? Because over in the mod thread there are still possible nerfs being discussed, so we should probably wait with the first round of pickinguntil there's a decision there.
I don't really mind, but I would vaguely prefer if we could not see each other's options.
For PB59, we were able to reject either leader or civ independently. Could we please know the number of tiles before we pick?
Apologies, I didn't even think about that as a option.

GeneralKilCavalry has not voted at all (Plemo abstained from everything in this thread).
Commodore, Pindicator, Gavagai, Scooter, Superdeath, Bing, Donovan Zoi, Tarkeel, Amicalola, and Hubabl have voted only in some categories. Piccadilly, GT, GeneralKilCavalry, and Hubabl have not made threads in this subforum. And we don't agree what the winning pick method "Random Block with Rerolls" means. And the landslide winner in the "City Trading" category is neither "None" nor "One per Deal" but rather "Good Faith Deals". I think "Good Faith Deals" is supposed to mean that there are no longer any strict limits on city trading and we trust people to abide only by the "don't be a jerk" rule now? Trade as many cities as you want per deal in any deal at any time, just don't be a jerk about it?

its been always (iirc) pick a leader OR civ OR keep both, OR reroll all.. Makes no sense to be forced to be forced to keep everything, or nothing?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow.
In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."-Old Harry. Either way makes as much sense as the other, but I do agree that rerolls have used to mean you could lock in as many parts as you want. I've taken the liberty of updating the voting spreadsheet to clarify. E: Some options left to decide: Monarch vs Emperor is at 8 vs 7, with Magic Science abstaining and PLemo/GKC/Dreylin yet to vote, so it can go either way still. Choose religion could also use some votes to settle it (or explicit abstaining) (August 13th, 2023, 23:45)superdeath Wrote: its been always (iirc) pick a leader OR civ OR keep both, OR reroll all..
