[spoilers] Commodore Milks Nostalsia as Pete of Mede

I'm having a hard time picturing how this society is ordered. Hinduism never spread far, so the Paganism is probably just a big polyglot mess; the rest would seem to support an imperial cult, and I am an immortal thousands of years old, so that tracks. Vassalage and Police State is an odd combo; I guess the feudal lords are on board with this, but don't really assert their rights? Caste, yeah, that follows, and the merchant caste being powerful means Mercantilism is a reasonable default (nobody ever bothered to open borders with me this game  alright). Actually, we just need to shift this to a bit more of a me-centered theocracy and this is a pretty Warhammer 40k governance. Poor sorry bastards.

We're Wonderful, though! Thanks to capping Ruff's Stonehenge and MoM, we're now the proud owners of literally every single wonder of the world. In other news, for turn 146 there sure aren't a lot of wonders of the world.

A nicely done knight attack is its own wonder, though. Fours turns, eight cities captured and one burned. From the culture there's only one more Ruff city east, and 2-3 west; then it's a question of "how fast can we build those galleys".

I'm extremely glad Ipecac has yet to get Guilds; those horse archers are respectable but if he turned them into fifteen knights...the mind quails. I'm turning a couple backline cities on to wealth, to couple with the capture/pillage gold (lots of cottages/hamlets in dry land going to get turned into caste workshops) and net me Aesthetics->Literature->Music in rapid succession. The plan is to fire a 12-turn golden age that sets up to snagging Nationalism and the Taj; it's just two more techs after and we're running cuirs.

Heh. I go away for a few weeks and when I get back, there are actually posts! lol

Lots of posts. Mostly pictures of former enemy cities, as you take out the frustration of yet again failing to match the glory that was Ottowa (the eternal, doomed, yet noble quest continues ...) on some unfortunate neighbour. Highly entertaining popcorn . Surely Greenline and Ipecac are going to have to take some action against you soon?

And yeah, you kind of need theocracy to make your evil pragmatic empire make thematic sense.

Aha, I was wondering about Ruff's power bump. Ipecac, man, this force plus your horse archers? You could have taken 3-5 Ruff land cities plus his couple of sea holdings. frown

Ach, well. This'll be annoying, need to crossbow/catapult for this.

Music, gotten! Paid for by setting massive numbers of mines and dry cottages on fire.

So Ipecac is not only propping his buddy up, he's also using open borders to threaten me with galleys. Good thing I popped borders when I did, or he'd be reinforcing Ruffian isles, too.

Ruff's living a basically maritime life now, which is why he's making decent tech towards longbows now. I'm opting to build another wave of knights before throwing a GA. GNP sucks.

I do, at least, finally have a few courthouses, and an academy. Ruff's infra was a *haul*.

Now let's mop this up clean.

A few cats, need some more. The slow part of all this is going to be getting galleys built in the captured cities to take Ruff's 4(!) island cities.

Ottawa was overrated. It never did pop that Aluminium, did it?

How bad is the WW? Galleys can wait because shortly you will have to deal with Caramels. All tech is slow but your MFG lead covers it. Just kill more people. SoD style.
