myself Wrote:with [QUOTE ] you start and with [/QUOTE ] you end a quote (both without the blank before the bracket ).
If you write =xyz after QUOTE but inside the bracket you get the 'posted by xyz'.

Alternatly you can use the 5th buton from the right in the second row. It should wrap QUOTE round the marked text.

I got the save and the war is underway, did i post the mail from Tatan wich make me to laugh a litlle bit?
Seems i allready posted but i do it now how thw lurkers asked.

Quote:Ahoy! The glorious Dutch Empire welcomes you to the mystic world of squares and triangles bequeathed upon us by the god Kyan!

[/flowery language] Hey, Mackoti, thanks for taking over for Meatbalz. I don't know if you've gotten to look around in the save yet, so allow me to inform you a little about me. I am Napoleon of the Dutch, and I am fairly far to your NE, with wonder-whore Serdoa [Qin of the Russians] between us. As you have no doubt noticed, you have the Great Lighthouse, and a commanding position in this game, along with Cyneheard [Cyrus of the Carthaginians], who is in the far north near me. You've actually managed to take over at a fairly pivotal point in time, the game being at Turn 100 precisely. I suspect a new round of warfare will be breaking out soon... but nothing is certain with a new leader. wink

A brief, completely biased history of the east [not the west, I have hardly any info from over there]. Everyone started out in development relatively even, but soon there began to appear gaps; Meatbalz did managed to snag the GL, but was sneak-attacked by Twinkletoes [Ghenghis of Sumeria, and your neighbor to the west], so he did not soar ahead in development [that is only happening now]. Cyneheard managed to keep pace by building the Hanging Gardens and getting mad population. Meanwhile, Serdoa [the only Industrious leader in the game] went on a wonder rampage [Seriously! Look at the Top Five Cities Screen's list of wonders!], but then failed to acquire a metal [more on this in a bit]. He was running a paper-military, so I did an opportunistic attack on him. My attempt to raze a core city failed due to my mis-allocation of resources [read: weed] and some poor RNG luck, but I did overwhelm Serdoa's forces on the island between us and got ceded his city there in the peace treaty. The reason I settled for peace after only a few turns was because Meatbalz decided to supply Serdoa with Iron; you probably know the terms of the deal better than me from his thread, but after that our relations went cold.

I was talking to Meatbalz more in recent turns, but then he became busy and stopped responding to my messages. I'm hoping we can do better. There is one thing I do wish to discuss. About the map: Kyan gave everyone horses at their home island, but put iron in various awkward spots between players, and took away copper entirely [we do have ivory, but War Elephants are banned]. I took careful steps to isolate Serdoa and made sure he had only horses; however, right now, you are supplying Serdoa with iron, again. This allows him to build knights, which are pretty much the best unit at this stage of the game. Now, I still have some deals going with Serdoa, but I'm still kinda concerned about a sneak-attack. So let me be frank: I want you to cancel this deal. I know that the terms are most likely pretty good, but still, the fact remains that you are giving him the ability to build anything he wants despite his inability to acquire a metal resource. I'm willing to offer you quite a lot, if you want compensation. Just send me an email at this address [where you will be sending turn, too, FYI] with your desire, and we should be able to work something out. I know you've said that diplomacy is not your strong suit, but I would really like to use this opportunity to reboot Arabian-Dutch relations.

Anyway, sorry about long-winded email + gruff demand on your very first turn, but at least it's something to think about while the game stalls during my vacation. smile
Ye, this is long and Tatan is acting friendly altough he never was our friend(me and meatbalz friend), and is asking me to cut Iron to serdoa offering nothing in return, that will not happen.
So we are on the way i will raze one off TT cities and i will get 2 more under siege, he choosed unwiese back when he destroyed one of our cities.

I dont know which is the situation but seems Me(meatbalz) and TT have an enforced peace, i dont find anything about this on thread, so i will cary one just pplaying save until i can actualy declare war.
Diplomacy i sent a private message to serdoa practicaly reasuring him that i am his ally asking him for a NAP until turn 150.

I sent this to Tatan
Quote:Hi,
Sorry for the delay but no point to answer without a save in my face . The deal with serdoa was very profitable for me, he(Serdoa) made big concesions for Meatbalz and i feel like cheating serdoa if i broke this.
I hope this will not be an obstacle beetwen us to leave in peace and get a NAP in place lets say until turn 150.
Regards ,
Mack

Why i done all of this ? Because i have a lot of cities right now : 14 and just 9 workers and with the incoming war with TT i will get more, and i want to be sure that Tatan will not interfere.
Big plan is to get Civil service quick so i can irigate my core cities because realy i dont see the point working cotages when i can do run for chemistry, state propercy and just after that preparing for a big war.

After sending the mail i checked save again, because i started maoi statui and i have stone but i didn't get the double value . And of course MB is giving the stone away to..... yeee TT, for cheaper walls and eventualy castles. I hope i can canceal this deal next turn.Perhaps the peace is comming from that, TT asked stone and MB accepted. I am sure that is working with Ai's. I reread again the thread just to find and the only other posibility is because AP(but meatbalz wasn't at war ) so this one makes no sense.

AP resolution is peace with all members. AFAIK you're a member (i.e. you've votes).

TT must refer to the diplo descibed in post 119 in this thread:
http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showpost....tcount=119

Meatbalz was trying to be clever and deceptive here, personally I think he was a bit too clever and I can see how TT believes he has a NAP until T125.

Meatbalz definitely didn't see it that way though, as he explains in post 124.
I have to run.
