Without additional updates, and to ensure all players are in the loop: I'm have mechanical issues with the game. I don't know why, and I do not have the time nor mental capacity to trouble shoot, but also I don't have anything to troubleshoot with except the live game. The fact that this is an issue of game controls is weirding me out though: I've never seen anything like this before, and I have no idea when it will happen again.
I'm mindful I'm going on holiday in three weeks, for three weeks, so I will be handing over the Magic Science at that point, but I'm wondering if I ought to hand over to a permanent sub (and either stay as ded lurker or not as the sub would prefer). I don't want to slow down this game.

Weird. I’m easy with whatever works best for you. Will you need a reload or continued pause now?

TBH the easiest thing for me would be to win the lottery and ride off into the sunset, but that ain't happening.
I'd feel happiest with a reload and a permanent sub (my thread already has the details posted of what the issue is, and theoretically a reload might fix the issue, but I'd feel happiest if someone else followed the instructions I'd post for this turn (they are trivial). A permanent sub is asking a lot, but if these problems continue, the consequences are going to get worse. And there is no reason to think they will stop.

OK, if we're waiting for a reload, I will not play the turn.

I'm willing to give Krill time if there's a fix possible, but it sounds like he's not sure there is. Would be sad to lose someone so early into a game they helped set up.

I don't want to quit, at all, and want to stay involved. But due to the pace and stage of the game it might be better if you sacrifice me publicly to let a stable player get involved.
Since last night's posts I've only just been able to look at the forum and even then I'm not in a position to play a turn for another maybe three hours. Even ignoring those issues I'm not able to keep up with everyone else's turn pace.
Tarkeel has kindly played this turn, but I don't want to fuck up the game for everyone else. I'm not going to stop playing it by any means. If some else wants to chip in playing with me then I'll happily take them up on the offer.
Edit: and just to be clear, I think the "mechanical issues" are related to using a mouse that should have a separate control program which doesn't exist in Linux, amongst other things, but also network issues related to lag and a VPN provider/program which is affecting the network when it's not in use. I might be able to overcome some of them, but I'm not sure, and with the above time problems not sure when I'll get the time to even look at them. Add in my trip to Japan and I'm basically a mess right now.

I don't have a problem with dropping down to 1 turn per day as the normal pace if that is what you need. My window for the 2nd turn is very tight anyway.

Ditto; I’ve squeezed in a few morning turns that I probably shouldn’t have even at this early stage of the game.

Concur. I would prefer a slower pace too, but I've also been worried about letting others down.
