Athlete is trying to both get Dreylin to burn his spy bomb EPs (to reduce Dreylin's passive espionage information) and to get something in return for "allowing" a tech steal. Dreylin doesn't have any reason to listen to any of that -- if Athlete gears up for war then Dreylin will easily see it coming. Not sure if Athlete realizes that, but the words are cheap and he might get something out of the attempt.

He wants to force Dreylin to spend some of his espionage points, so Dreylin loose the visibility of his cities, and gain some techs in the process too. It's some kind of tech trading without ... trading
Overall I think Athlete is too much optimistic with his plans. He wanted to swindle some troops from Dreylin and then attack him with his own troops. A bold plan, but not very realistic.

If Dreylin accepts Athlete's "offer" he deserves to lose on general principle .
I want a war damn it, this game is on the verge of boring.

Things starting to get interesting. If Athlete isn't careful he's going to find out what happens oftentimes to people that waffle between choosing one side or the other - the 2 parties compare notes, decide to hook up, and take you out instead!

If mh agrees to swap sides for most of Athletes lands...(minus Zapotec etc?)
Athlete can slave out cavs and draft rifles shortly...Athlete would probably lose is front city, the one with great culture, but afterwards could become a stalemate with the tech difference...

First ever NAP break for RB MP right? At least between RBP1, RBPBEM1, and the 'Poly demogame. I wonder if there will be any diplo repercussions.

The delicious irony! MH stopped copying athlete on his messages precisely because athlete didn't attack. So athlete finally attacks, only to find MH had negotiated peace but didn't bother to tell him .
It is all great news for Dreylin of course, which makes it even funnier. Then there is poor sooooo churning out settlers and GPs while his alliance burns to the ground .

Re: Sunrise's comments:
Technically, was the attack on Imperio in the demogame breaking a NAP? Really, Imperio had not fulfilled the terms of that NAP, not even close, but we were the ones who drew first blood.
But, yeah, this was the first "I made too many deals, and had to break one", instead of "Hey, guess what, this deal was broken already. We're just now announcing that we've noticed."

You're right. This is also the first "We broke a NAP but now we want to make further negociations." The Poly demogame was already divided into RB and PAL spheres by the time the NAP was broken, regardless of whether Imperio or RB broke it. Of course we all know Imperio did....
