[SPOILERS] Lewwyn frees slaves in Lincoln's Ethiopia

Yeah, I don't think open borders is a good idea until you have enough units to have a decent defense at every city, and not just one garrison unit. There's definitely no point in signing them until trade routes are up, and you can't cancel them for ten turns of unlimited scouting, besides declaring war.

It was funny. You know those tips the game gives you as you load up the game? Today's tip as I loaded was the one where it says sometimes open borders is not a good thing. Your enemies will scout your lands and sell the information to their neighbors. Then the offer popped and I'm like, "well the game just warned me NOT to sign OB." lol

Turn again. Here's a bit of what I've uncovered in the middle:

And here's a pic of the EOT.

I just finished the archer in Racy which will be in clubfoot in 3 turns. The stele finished in Clubfoot and the walls will finish in 3 turns unless I switch to a different build. I'm considering starting a WB or an archer next turn. Possibly build a 3 turn archer, start a WB, whip it and have the overflow finish the walls.

Also the worker finished in Clammy. I'm going to start a 4T settler there now. Both Moogle and Mack have settled their 4th cities this turn. I want to keep an edge by getting to 5 first and building the pyramids.

Man turns in this game were really getting good. Everything is a bit tense, things are neck and neck. And now Nakor wants feedback on something from DMOC. duh Turns been held up almost 24 hours already. What on earth could be so important?

One can only hope.

We're at 32 hours, but DMOC's finally posted in their thread.

No idea what the big deal was. Just saw that stone will take a little longer to be quarried. I've decided to two pop whip a worker in Racy next turn 5>3 in order to get a third worker over to the stone a turn earlier and get stone quarried before the other workers get their chops in. I plan to use the overflow from the whip for a 1 turn spear or axe. Maybe an archer. I need an archer for my horse city.

Mackoti's power graph has not increased the last few turns. Plus he's moved his warrior away and attacked a barb with his chariot.

More scouting in the north reveals the other source of stone. But still no sign of Nakor. Did he move the settler north? Did he settle away from the center? If he's backfilling first, Mackoti is in a position to squeeze him.

On another note I'm planning to build the Great Library in Clubfoot so as to combat Mackoti's culture. I won't be building any further North or west of Clubfoot, though I will be trying to settle south of it.

In demos I'm at 35MFG the next rival is at 18. smile For crop I have 40 and the leader has 44. I'm feeling pretty good overall about that. I should have fish hooked up within 4 turns for clubfoot so that will help a great deal as well.

I was looking at micro for Racy Thigh.

Next turn Worker is at 18/40h. I get 22+11 Hammers in over flow with a 2 pop whip next turn.

What if I used that 33H for a barracks?

T49 - Worker 2 pop whip
T50 - Barracks 1T build - 4 overflow - Regrow to pop 4 11/17+7
T51 - Archer - 4 overflow + 7 base - 11H - Food - 9/19 +6
T52 - Switch to pyramids - Stone connected(worker C move) - Worker A chop in(26H) - Food - 15/19+6 - 7H basex2 = 14 hammers
T53 - Pop 5 - Food - 11/20+5 Pyramids 40/335 + 46 (Worker B chop in) (worker A to forest) (Worker C onto forest hill)
T54 - Pop 5 - Food - 16/20+5 Pyramids 86/335 + 20 (worker A chop eta 56)(worker B to forest hill)(Worker C start mine eta 56 w/ WorkerB)
T55 - Pop 6 - Food - 11/22+1 Pyramids 106/335 + 32
T56 - Pyramids 138/335+32+26+26
T57 - Pyramids 222/335+32
T58 - Pyramids 254/335+32
T59 - Pyramids 286/335+32
T60 - Pyramids 318/335+32
T61 - Pyramids 350/335+32

I can finish them a turn early on T60 if I add the 11 hammers from after the barracks and 1 turn working an extra mine instead of a rice.

Up late for the end of WW5, saw turn.

Easy turn nothing happening, whipped the worker in racy and followed the micro. I set tech to 0% for a turn.

Oh and I found another interesting tile:

Nice plains forest rice! I don't even know if that's necessary to farm. Its an immediate 4 yield tile. and there doesn't seem to be freshwater so farming it only gives you a 3f/1h tile, whereas currently its a 2f/2h tile. I suppose you choose farm if you want the chop bonus and will get irrigation chains in the future, but right now 2/2 isn't so bad.

By the by, Mackoti's power has not grown again. I still don't think he's coming for me presently.
