Mackoti's graph has actually gone down. Either he's lost a unit or whipped a bunch. Hopefully more good news for me. Additionally, Mackoti is at 5 cities now. But let's play a game called one of these things is not like the other.

Mackoti's city list:
Paris
Orleans
Lyons
Rheims
Differential II

Whoops. Unless Mackoti just started a new naming scheme he's captured a city from Nakor. rolleye

This is good and bad news. Good that Nakor lost a city and Mackoti is embroiled in a war on the other side of his nation. Bad that Nakor sucks at war, has barely any military, and will not last long allowing Mackoti to assimilate more land. At the beginning I was afraid this might happen. I was of two minds about placement. I didn't want to be next to Mackoti, but I knew that neither Moogle nor Nakor would really be able to hold him back as well as me. In the end, I was next to him and I put up enough of a fight that he went for the weaker prey. Overall though it doesn't bode well. You give mackoti CRE/AGG and he's going to take out a neighbor. Nakor should have been more wary. Now I have to rush the pyramids and REX like a mofo. I have to keep up and I have to expand into the territory to my east so as not to allow Mackoti more free land.

Scouting in the north:

Still no sign of Nakor.

Buddhism finally fell. It fell last turn after my turn so it's either Mackoti or Nakor. If Nakor went for it for denial purposes...

Moogle's culture expanded. He settled west of me. Why not towards Nakor? frown

Stupid peaks! What kind of trap is this!

My borders popped:

Macks units got shoved away. I started a granary, I'll just let the walls sit, no need to finish them until its necessary.

Settler finished EOT, going to horse site with an archer. Clammy will start another worker next. Started Gleaming on worker, will start a settler after the worker.

With Mackoti blasting away at Nakor, I assume Nakor will fall, Mackoti will assimilate. My best hope is to build the mids and REX. Pretty much grab as much land as possible, build lots of libraries, get my GE and try to out-tech Mack. Then take a bite out of him. The other option is to out-tech Moogle, assimilate him and use his land to out-produce Mack. Hopefully Nakor stalemates him, but given the power rankings and what I know of Nakor's ability to fight, those hopes are very slim.

Whoops just realized I missed T50... I'll update it tomorrow with all cities.

Is there any land bridge north of northern horses? It looks like you can claim all north and west of clubfoot as Mackoti can't reach them without open borders?

Its close. Its hard to see but he can go along the diagonal of my borders and squeeze past to the north. The tile NW of his axe is not in my borders. If it was then yes...

I'm going to have pop my borders fast... Nice catch MWIN. And BTW I'm planning on building the GL in club foot so maybe that would help.

You have an archer with that axe on the stone, right? Or is it two axes?

Actually, its an axe and a spear. That's the best protection from chariots. Additionally, I don't really need the spear in the city since there is no way for Mack to two move to the city with a chariot.

Oh yeah, spear makes the most sense, I'm stupid. I was concerned about the potential of two chariots rushing that tile, yeah. He could come out of the fog and plant a road in neutral territory to hit that tile with an unseen number of chariots.

So big update. A little late but EOT 52.

First though this turn report. Mackoti settled a new city. Crap. He's at 6 cities now. Nakor didn't take his city back so I can assume he's not going to (wasn't expecting much). I'm still at 4 cities, as is Moogle. Haven't met Nakor still. Instead I found a barb city. WTF.

At least I have a Settler on the way to horse:

I'll try to settle aggressively East next to the cow with the next settler out of Clammy. Right now Clammy is building a worker though. In fact lets go ahead and start checking out the cities.

Clammy Hands:

Capital, good producer. Is building a Worker now. When it completes I will put 2 turns into a settler and 2 pop whip. Overflow into a library and grow while completing. Then more workers probably.

Racy Thigh:

Good Production. Building the Mids then I'll whip something or produce a couple units. I do need a library here.

Gleaming Eye:

Solid city. Will build start a settler after worker. I will 2 pop whip settler overflow into library and regrow on that.

Clubfoot:

Hooked up fish this turn. Will grow, finish granary, start Library, whip library, probably into barracks. Walls still in a holding pattern.

Here are the Demos and graphs for your perusal.

So Mackoti is out expanding me as well as conquering. I can only hope his economy is crashing. He has an extra 20 hammers per city since I needed to build Steles (though I haven't in Clammy yet). Still if I whip a library out of Clubfoot I should be able to block him from settling north of there without declaring war.

BTW... Barb city? Next to Mack? That's only going to help him more. Wish I had a barb city to deal with. Also what is up with how far Nakor is? I'm feeling a bit like both of my opponents settled in my direction.

BTW I'm 3rd in power now. Nakor has built some units, yes? Hopefully he can force Mackoti into stagnation! smoke
