I assume so - the same way any unit's changed name shows in the combat log for example.

Where is this shown? I have reported that it is possible to see great spies on the same tile as workers using the "Domestics" tab on the zoom out interface. Does this similarly work with regular spies?

TBS mentioned something along those lines in '18 - but I might be misremembering and it only being GS.
