[SPOILERS] Lewwyn frees slaves in Lincoln's Ethiopia

So real quick. Just a bit of micromanaging. End of next turn I finish Lib. Also, I forgot last turn to mention Mackoti built Notre Dame. I don't understand how Moogle is not leveraging his IND+Marble. He's built barely any wonders. I wish I had gotten his civ/leader/start!

This pretty much says it all:

Mackoti made peace. I got Lib. Mack spent 20+ EP on me last turn.

I think I can tech Gunpowder in 3-4. Machinery in 1-2. If I can get machinery in 1 I will tech take Nationalism with lib, tech machinery and draft maces until I get gunpowder to draft Oromos. I think that's about all I can do. That and pray it takes him 3 turns to get his armies turned around. Maybe switching into Nationhood will make him decide not to attack me. Maybe it'll push him faster. Either way his military is still climbing.

On the plus side I have 4 unis finished and possibly 2 more in 2-3 turns. Then oxford.

I assume you mean you'll take Nationalism either way with Lib, and then tech Machinery if it's fast, else tech Gunpowder.

Very nice. smile

I forget how this game has gone. Any chance you can get a golden age in a timely enough manner to swap to Nationalism without anarchy?

Hmmm. Well if Machinery is techable in one turn, Music probably is also. Assuming the GArtist is still there, you could tech that and pop your 2-GP GA, which has the same effect as taking a turn of anarchy (in terms of how soon you'll be able to draft).

So I've been busy all day haven't had time for a proper report. Last night the house of cards lost its top floor. Mackoti declared war, which of course I was expecting to happen at some time, but I was in a high risk high reward situation and Mackoti final called my bluff. Not really much I could do. Anyway he had 3 galleys off the coast of Tanned Hide and the city had one spear in it. Great. there were 2 maces in the north, 1 mace 1LB 1 Xbow in the East:

Machinery is still one turn away... SO I get a chop and I whip an axe in Tanned Hide:

When the turn rolls I get a Mace there.

Now I know I'm going to lose Tanned Hide. Theres just no two ways about it. SO I offered the city in a peace treaty. I'm praying he accepts it. If he doesn't, and goes with the protracted war, I have no chance. My best shot is to get to oromos and get to drafting, but Gunpowder is still 4 turns away after machinery + I need a turn of anarchy to switch to nationalism.

Fast forward to this evening:

Mack accepted the treaty, and I have 10 turns to mobilize. Starting with Music trying to get the GArtist to start a GA so that I don't waste a turn switching to Nationalism. We'll see if I can retake the Tanned Hide and make some inroads into Mackoti with drafted oromos.

Actually I'm considering drafting my muskets and then swinging at Moogle instead of Mackoti. He's a much easier target.

Psst, mackoti's posted in his thread and you haven't. wink

Yeah...

I have time to update now. I find that while I finally have time to update I'm just not in the same groove of updating. Let's see if I can bring this thread up to speed.

Turns have been slow but still pretty regular.

Mackoti did in fact accept the peace treaty. He is in control of Tanned hide and now 10 turns later this turn he could attack me if he wished. We'll see. During these last 10 turns I've been busy.

My goal was to get the GA from Music. With 1 turn left of music, Moogle grabs the GA. So now I'm trying to pop a GE in order to rush the Taj, but I'm still 5 turns from a 20% chance at a GE in Clammy. (As of this turn 117).

What this meant however is that I cannot get a GA to switch to Nationalism in. So I tech Gunpowder + Alphabet and switch civics. I switched out of pacifism into free religion as well.

I built the HE in Gleaming Eye (Copper city). I actually had an archer that killed 3 barb warriors in Cloven Toe and had 8 XP (w/ CHA thats enough).

I'm 3 turns from oxford in Clammy even though I'm no longer in Burea.

For the past 4 turns I've drafted 3 Oromos a turn. Unfortunately they all have 1 XP since I don't have theocracy.

Mackoti has knights as well and is the undisputed power even with my recent drafting.

In world topics I traded Stone to Moogle for Gold and then the next turn I popped gold in one of my mines. bangheadbangheadbanghead
Nakor trading was much more fruitful. We opened borders and I traded him Iron(!) for two luxury resources. Also this turn I gave him a world map trade we'll see if he excepts it.

Moogle is in the score lead now. I think if I attack Mackoti and we have a long protracted stalemate, Moogle might win. On the other hand I could attack Moogle who only just got Maces. and has axes everywhere and who has a lower power than me. The problem is if I attack Moogle, Mackoti will simply sweep in my backside. I have no other option. Moogle gives me a safe front because its obvious HE's not attempting to kill me. And Moogle has OB win Nakor for all his GLH routes. Moogle has top GNP atm(in a GA), I'm second.

I could put pictures up but its raining outside and making me feel gloomy so I won't.

I'd say just attack mackoti and hope DMOC can convince Nakor to try for some revenge. lol

Oh by the way you can pillage your own stone and then rebuild it to cancel the trade early. Or you can declare war of course. wink
