Yeah, delaying the settler a further 2 turns, delays landing Poly 2 turns which opens up it being stolen, delays hooking the clam, then rice, cow, copper by two turns, that's the snowball effect. The only reason delaying the settler makes sense is if I can also cram in a worker and then use 2 workers to hook up the resources,. but I tried to figure out how to do that both with and without growing and I couldn't make it work. Settler completed eot39 with a chop, settle city 2 T43, finish Poly T143 with some gold in the bank and Fishing half researched, and take it from there.

Sorry, didn't see this until this morning, but why would I throw two axes at Ventessel? We knew where he was on T3, we could have Q rushed him! It would have been cheaper.
Yes, Ventessel needs to tech The Wheel and then hook up the copper, but copper is 4 yield tile with no worker time, and it's a 6 yield tile when improved so it's going to be mined pretty fucking quickly. Most people still have only 3 pop capitals so I think most players decided to grab slightly quicker settlers (I'm not 100% certain, but I think this was a mistake to plan for on T0 and definitely a mistake once players knew copper was present). Ventessel is in slavery and has perfect vision from hills in the south of the capital BFC. All dumping 70 hammers into axes is going to do is slow down Oracle, it's not like it's going to capture his capital.

I've worked out the micro for the next 25 odd turns. The production and laborer assignments are done, as is growth for cities 2 and 3.
The only bit I'm not 100% certain on is tech timings (but delays are accounted for), but I have an eta on Oracle and Aesthetics now.

two players have size 4 capitals, I think everyone else has size 3 capitals, meaning that everyone except dtay, Ventessel and myself have no second cities yet, but out of those remaining players I believe Gavagai has a size 1 second city (because I have vision into it) and everyone else has size 2 second cities.
In other words, whilst I may be behind in invested hammers due to not having a settler out (or any hammers invested, I should have a good amount of pop, working 6 yield tiles so I'm not worried. The extra 3 forests compared to the original start helps recover some of that ground.
I'm not declaring on Gav, but I met Dark Savant, I'm going to let him fog bust for my scout and deal with any remaining barbs. Going to look at what I've not scouted. Gav will seal up that mid point between the original start locations quickly I feel.

Because I'm bored.

OK, how about this? On T50 I'm going to have a size 7 capital. I could have HE built by T75 with no issues on beakers or hammers, so long as I land Oracle. The only problem being the 8XP unit. At size 9 (so with one of furs, whales, religion with revolt or a temple for the happy), I can be throwing out 1 turn HA. Given SoZ takes 8 turns to build, barracks and stables a further 3 turns total, and HE then requires a mere 322 beaker tech and 200 hammers into the building, I only have to overcome that one stumbling block of Oracle and I'm home free.
Can you at least wait until T75 when I then go berserk please?

But that is like 30 days away. Too long to wait for fireworks!
Ps. I'm really only saying this to inflate your threads post count

Nothing wrong with inflating the thread count
And I doubt we can do a turn a day for 40 days. There will be pauses. I also need to figure out tech path for afterwards, but no rush on that.
